On one of what is sure to be the hottest days of the summer, I and my 1 year old son are taking refuge from the heat in my basement. Our AC crapped out on Monday and it has been a fun few days since. The AC tech has just left and it looks like our AC won’t be fixed for at least a week.
So basement it is. My son Nicolas is happily playing with his toys and I am streaming music to my awesome sound system. Great Big Sea’s Ordinary Day has just come on. At the best of times, they are one of my favourite bands – I have been lucky enough to see them perform several times over the years – but timing wise, this was the song I needed to hear.
