Radique Inc. (“Radique,” “we,” “us”) is an Ottawa-based audio shop at radique.com. We collect only the personal information we need to run the shop, we use it only for the reasons described here, and we never sell it to anyone. This page explains what we collect, why, and what your choices are — in plain language, because that’s how we do everything else too.

What we collect, and why

Orders. When you buy from us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and billing and shipping addresses. We use these to process your payment, ship your order, provide warranty and trade-back service, and answer your questions. We keep order records for as long as we need them for warranty, accounting, and tax purposes. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor, WooPayments — Radique never sees or stores your full card number.

The Amplified newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address and (optionally) your first name. We use them for exactly one thing: sending you Amplified and its subscriber exclusives. Every issue includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Subscriber data is stored in our website’s newsletter system and our emails are delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service (SES).

Messages you send us. When you contact us through the site’s contact or enquiry forms, by email, or by phone, we keep the correspondence so we can help you and remember what we discussed (vintage gear hunts can span months — ask anyone waiting on a Pioneer SX-1250).

Customer accounts. If you create an account, we store your order history and saved addresses so checkout is easier next time. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

What we collect automatically

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site — which pages get visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what’s working. This uses cookies. We look at this information in aggregate; we don’t use it to identify you personally.

Shopping cookies. Our store uses cookies to remember your cart, your currency selection (CAD, USD, GBP, or EUR), and similar shopping session details. These are functional, not advertising, cookies.

Embedded content. Some pages embed YouTube videos (we’re rather proud of the polar bear one). Embedded YouTube players may set cookies from Google/YouTube when you play them, governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

Who we share information with

Only who we must, only to serve you:

  • Shipping carriers and our shipping platform, to deliver your order (they receive your name, address, phone, and email for delivery updates)
  • Payment processors, to process your payment
  • Amazon SES, to deliver the newsletter and order emails
  • Google, through the analytics and embedded content described above

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Full stop. We would disclose information if the law genuinely required it (for example, a court order), and that’s the only other case.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (we may need to keep basic order records where tax or warranty obligations require). You can unsubscribe from Amplified with one click in any issue. You can browse the site without an account, and you can disable cookies in your browser (the cart may sulk, but the site will work).

Security

Our site runs over HTTPS, access to customer information is limited to the small Radique team who need it to serve you, and we keep our software updated. No online system can promise perfection, but we treat your information the way we pack speakers: carefully.

Children

Our site and newsletter are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes affecting newsletter subscribers will be mentioned in Amplified itself.
