Sony TAE-20FB Falcon Preamplifier — Bronze, MM/MC Phono, Japan
The control amplifier from Sony's short-lived Falcon range — made in Japan for barely two years and rarely seen on this side of the Pacific. Bronze-anodised aluminium case, a real moving-coil phono input alongside moving-magnet, and a signal path that has been freshly recapped. A couple of light marks on the casework, otherwise Very Good. Ships from Kanata, ON.
PSB Alpha A/V Shielded Bookshelf Speakers — 6.5″ Woofer, Canada
The final 6.5-inch version of the speaker that made PSB's name — the 1998 Alpha A/V, with the upgraded tweeter, crossover and banana-plug terminals, and magnetic shielding so it can sit right beside a screen. Ninety decibels sensitive, so a modest receiver drives them well. Black ash, graded Very Good, bench-tested here. Pair.

Totem's slim, hand-built Montreal floorstander in the maple veneer the factory charged extra for — a single 5.5-inch driver and a textile dome in a narrow mono-shell cabinet that images far wider than its size and reaches 39 Hz. Happiest at civilised levels in a small to medium room. Fitted here with Radique Audio bi-wire bridges. Pair, ships from Kanata, ON.
Cambridge Audio Stream Magic 6 DAC & Preamp — Balanced XLR
About as close to unused as a fourteen-year-old component gets — the protective film is still on the display, and the original carton, manual and remote are all here. The converter section is the DacMagic Plus's: twin Wolfson WM8740s in dual differential, fed by Anagram ATF2 upsampling that re-clocks and interpolates everything arriving at any input up to 24-bit/384 kHz, with three selectable reconstruction filters. Balanced XLR outputs and a digital preamplifier stage on top of that. Excellent condition.
Castle Knight 1 Bookshelf Speakers — Real Wood Cherry, Pair
From a Yorkshire company that spent forty years being known for its cabinets above all else. The cherry veneer is deep-figured real timber, book-matched across the two cabinets so the grain mirrors when they are set up together, then sealed and waxed by hand over more than five days. Underneath is an honest two-way bass-reflex with a 130 mm woven natural-fibre bass/mid driver and five-way binding posts. Very Good condition.
Polk Audio f/x 500i Bipole/Dipole Surrounds — Made in USA, Pair
A genuine mirror-imaged pair, labelled LC and RC, with two driver arrays set 45 degrees apart and a rear-panel switch that flips them between bipole and dipole — locatable effects on the wall behind you, a diffuse field on the side walls, same speakers either way. 19.4 lbs each, half again the weight of the FXi A6 that replaced them, and 2 dB more sensitive. Built in the United States, with keyhole mounts moulded into the cabinet. Very Good condition.
PSB VisionSound VS300 Aluminum On-Wall Speaker
An on-wall speaker engineered as one rather than adapted into one. It shares the tweeter, terminals and crossover of PSB's VS400 floorstander, but the port was moved to the front so the cabinet can sit flat to a wall without the wall changing what it does — and a rear switch selects NORMAL or ON-WALL, filling the 400 to 500 Hz dip that hard mounting creates. Extruded aluminium, built in Pickering, Ontario. Graded Excellent or Very Good; the only thing separating the two is a single Tic Tac-sized hole at the extreme edge of one grille frame.
PSB Image 4T 2.5-Way Tower Speakers — Made in Canada, Bi-Wire
Tannoy Mercury F3 Slim Floorstanding Speakers — Apple Finish
A two-way floorstander built on a deliberately simple recipe: one 6.5 inch bass and midrange driver covering everything below a 1 inch textile dome, crossed at 2.7 kHz by a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley — no midrange handover in the region the ear is most sensitive to, and drivers that sum flat and stay in phase through the crossing. 89 dB into a nominal 8 ohms, happy on anything from 10 to 100 watts, and eight inches wide. The light Apple finish hardly ever comes up. Very Good condition.
NAD C 272 Stereo Power Amplifier 150 WPC, 300 Watts Bridged
Start with the number that is not on the front: 150 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 150 into 4. Most amplifiers quote a comfortable 8 ohm figure and hope you never connect anything harder; this one holds its full rating into half the impedance, from a high-current Holmgren toroidal feeding all-discrete circuitry with NAD's PowerDrive topology behind it. A BRIDGE MODE switch on the back turns it into a single mono channel of roughly 300 watts into 8 ohms, so the system can be rearranged later rather than replaced. Very Good condition.
Bowers & Wilkins WM2 Outdoor Speakers, Pearl White, w/ Brackets
On an outdoor speaker the condition is the whole story — these are almost never retired for how they sound, but for sun turning a white cabinet chalky and yellow, freeze-thaw working at the seams, and grilles blooming with rust. Pearl White shows all of it more plainly than black would, and this pair grades Very Good, factory wall brackets included. B&W did not design a weatherproof box and then find a driver to fit it either: a 130 mm woven fibreglass cone crossed at 3.5 kHz to a 25 mm dome, the same material philosophy as their indoor speakers.
JVC SX-PW33 Slim Tower Subwoofer — 6.5in, 100W, High-Pass Out
A tall, narrow bass column meant to stand beside a cabinet rather than in front of it — 8.25 inches across the front and unusually deep at 17, which is the trade: the depth buys back the internal volume the narrow baffle gives away, so a 6.5 inch woofer is properly loaded in a strip of floor barely wider than a hardcover book. Driven by an integrated 100 watt amplifier, with speaker-level inputs and high-pass outputs so it works with an amplifier that has no subwoofer output at all. Good condition.
Braun Atelier A1 Slim Integrated Amp — 55 WPC, Pre-Out, Japan
The component that makes the rest of an Atelier system work, and the one people hunting these usually look for first. 55 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 80 into 4, with a preamplifier section that separates from the power stage — engineering that is not an afterthought to the industrial design. 445 mm wide and 70 mm tall, the exact footprint of the T1 tuner and C1 deck, so the stack reads as one machined object. Made in Japan for Braun. Good condition.
Braun Atelier T1 Slim AM/FM Tuner — 9 Presets, Quartz, Japan
An analogue tuner given a quartz-referenced five-digit readout — the precision of a synthesised design with a real analogue front end behind it, which tends to hold a weak signal more gracefully. The nine presets are not memories: each station button carries its own tuning adjustment, set by hand with a small screwdriver through the panel, so it is effectively nine little tuners in one chassis. Made in Japan, 445 mm wide and 70 mm tall to match the Atelier deck. Good condition.
Braun Atelier C1 Slim Cassette Deck — Motorized Drawer, Japan
70 mm tall, almost exactly the height of a cassette case, and that is not a coincidence. The tape does not stand upright behind a door the way it does in every Japanese deck of the era — it lies flat and is drawn in horizontally on a motorised tray, the mechanism disappearing into a slot barely thicker than the cassette itself. The C1 arrived in 1980, two years before a CD player made that gesture familiar. Built for Braun in Japan, the matching deck to the Atelier A1 and T1. Good condition.
Klipsch RPW-10 10 Powered Subwoofer — 420W Peak, BASH Amp
Yamaha RX-V561 5.1 AVR 500W — 2x HDMI, 3 Digital In, Remote
100 watts minimum RMS on every one of the five channels into 8 ohms, and dynamic power that climbs to 110, 130, 160 and 180 watts into 8, 6, 4 and 2 ohms — a receiver that keeps increasing output as the load gets harder has a supply with something in reserve. Where it earns its keep is bass management: a crossover selectable across nine points from 40 Hz to 200 Hz with a 12 dB per octave high-pass on front, centre and surround. Two HDMI inputs, three digital, remote included. Very good condition.
Definitive Technology BP-10 4-Driver Bipolar Towers — USA-Built
Each tower is two complete two-way systems, one facing forward and one facing directly backward, both radiating in phase. That is the whole point: where a dipole panel's front and rear bass partially cancel and the speaker has to come several feet into the room, these reinforce each other and the tower is happiest eight to twelve inches off the wall. Four drivers a side, bass to 20 Hz, built in Baltimore. Graded Good, and the grade is the high-gloss end caps — three decades of black lacquer carries scuffs and a few small chips.
Radique Audio High Density Felt Pads – 1 Inch Magenta, 8-Pack
High density felt in our signature Magenta, 1 inch across and a full 5 mm thick, with a self-adhesive backing that grips any smooth surface. Fitted under speakers, components and stands, they keep the surface below free of rings and scratches and take the edge off cabinet vibration. We use them throughout our own shop, from small satellites to large towers and on vintage receivers well into the three-thousand-dollar range. Sold in packs of 8.

Mission 731 Bookshelf — Made in England, Inverted Driver Design
Two things to tell you: a ding on the top side edge of one cabinet, and third-party binding posts a previous owner fitted to one speaker. Otherwise good — and the design is the interesting part, since Mission's inverted geometry puts the tweeter below the woofer to bring the two into step at seated ear height. Made in England.
Paradigm Reference LCR-450 — Made in Canada, High Gloss Black
A Canadian-built Reference monitor in a high gloss black we have not had this model in before — the line of this era usually turns up in black, light cherry or dark rosenut. Sealed MTM design with Paradigm's pure-aluminium dome tweeter, and it works as a centre or as a left or right. Excellent, with its original box.

Re-terminated here for true bi-wire on freshly stripped core with our own gold-plated bananas: one pair at the amplifier end, two at the speaker. Eight-foot matched pair.
JBL 62T Bookshelf Speakers – Rosewood Finish, Titanium Dome
Discounted for the aftermarket screw holes a previous owner left in the back panels, and very good everywhere else — original drivers, clean rosewood finish, both tested here. A mid-1980s two-way with a pure titanium tweeter that runs out to 23 kHz, and an easy 89 dB load that a thirty-watt vintage receiver drives properly.

The reason to want these is the tweeter — MartinLogan's Folded Motion driver is a pleated ribbon rather than a dome, so it squeezes air out from between its pleats and barely has to move. A 5.25-inch aluminium cone below it, 92 dB sensitivity, and the high-gloss black clean of the swirls these show so readily. Original boxes included.
Onkyo TA-2040 Cassette Deck – Silver, Japan, For Parts/Repair
Sold as-is for parts or repair: multiple faults, not covered by our warranty, not eligible for trade-back, all sales final. What it is, is a 1980 Japanese-built two-head deck with a sendust head, full-logic transport, FG-servo motor and Dolby B — not economic for our bench, and a completely different arithmetic if you have a soldering iron.

Three-Post 23″ Steel Speaker Stands – Cable Routing, Spiked
The largest of the three posts is hollow, so speaker wire drops in at the top plate and comes out at the base instead of trailing across the floor. A 10 x 12 inch base under a 23 inch column, a 5 x 6.5 inch top plate, 50 lbs per stand, and threaded adjustable spikes with rubber caps. Sold as a pair.
Paradigm J-60 26″ Fillable Welded Steel Speaker Stands – Pair
Three welded steel columns rising from a 12 by 12 inch base to a 7.5 by 9 inch top plate — the stand Paradigm sold for the Studio 20 and the Active 20. The columns are hollow and meant to be filled: a bag of dry play sand roughly doubles their mass and stops the ringing. Supplied unfilled, with felt pads fitted and the original spikes included. Very good condition.
Paradigm Monitor 3 v3 Bookshelf Speakers – 8″ Woofer, Canada
An 8-inch woofer in a cabinet small enough to sit on a stand — a 210 mm ICP cone on a die-cast chassis, with a third-generation titanium dome on the Studio-series waveguide faceplate, crossed at 2.0 kHz. Low frequency extension to 38 Hz and 91 dB room sensitivity, so 15 watts drives them and 150 is just headroom. Built in Canada, in Black Ash. Very good condition.
Maxell UR 120 Blank Cassette – Normal Bias, Sealed
A hundred and twenty minutes of Maxell UR, normal bias Type I, still in its factory wrap. Sixty minutes a side is a full album with room left over. Type I is the default setting on every deck ever made, so there is nothing to select, and it is the correct tape for the 9.5 cm/s speed on a two-speed machine. Unopened, unused.

Yamaha Q2031 Dual 31-Band Graphic Equalizer – Made in Japan, 2U
Thirty-one bands per channel on ISO third-octave centres, 20Hz to 20kHz, on two fully independent channels — fine enough to pull a single room mode down without touching what sits either side of it. A range switch halves boost and cut to ±6dB for careful work, and the high-pass filters sweep from 20 to 200Hz. Balanced XLR and 1/4-inch throughout, 2U rack. Condition good.
Rotel RC-870 Preamplifier – MM/MC Phono, Made in Japan, 1985
Rotel called this a stereo control amplifier rather than a preamp, and it earns the name — no tone controls, no filters, no loudness, just four line inputs and two tape loops with dubbing either way. The phono stage runs moving magnet and moving coil through separate buffers, and line distortion is no greater than 0.004%. Stamped Tokyo, Japan on the rear panel. Excellent cosmetic condition.
Rotel RB-870 Stereo Power Amplifier – 60 WPC, Bridgeable to 120
Sixty watts a channel into 8 ohms at 0.03% distortion, a damping factor of 280, and response running out to 120kHz. A rear-panel switch bridges the two channels into a single 120-watt mono amplifier, so a second one later gives you monoblocks. The speaker terminals clamp bare wire or spades only — no bananas. Very good condition, inspected and tested.
NAD T572 5-Disc CD Changer – HDCD Decoder, Coax & Optical Out
Five discs at once with an HDCD decoder on board — High Definition Compatible Digital folds roughly twenty bits of range into an ordinary sixteen-bit CD, and most players never had the decoder to read it. The carousel reloads four while the fifth keeps playing, which the cheaper T571 could not do. Coaxial and optical digital out, original NAD remote. Very good condition.
Technics SL-220 Turntable – Made in Japan, Technics EPC-U25 Cartridge
Belt drive with a frequency-generator servo motor, a 304mm die-cast aluminium platter, and a static-balanced S-type arm with auto-return — 0.045% wow and flutter, six percent pitch either side of centre. The Technics EPC-U25 cartridge takes styli from conical up to Shibata, so there is a cheap path to more later. We sold this one, serviced it, and took it back in trade; condition Good.
Camber Laser 3 Bookshelf Speakers – Made in Ottawa, Canada
Built in Ottawa, a short drive from where they now sit. A 6.5-inch Audax mid-bass on a translucent polypropylene cone and a 1-inch dome with a centre diffusor, in light grey bezels against a dark cabinet. Two-way rear-ported, 8 ohms, 10 to 100 watts, spring clips on the back — give them room off the wall. Grilles included; very good condition.
Yamaha NS-C90 Center Speaker – Dual-Angle Tilt, Made in Japan
The cabinet is asymmetrical on purpose: flip it over and it tilts the other way, aiming up at you from a low shelf or down at you from the top of a cabinet. Sealed rather than ported, so it needs no rear clearance. Two full-range drivers, nothing crossing in the vocal band. 6 ohms, 50 watts nominal. Built in Japan; very good condition.
JBL Northridge E30 2-Way 6″ Bookshelf Speakers – Bi-Wireable
Sixteen and a half pounds each, which is where the 50 Hz comes from — this is a full-size bookshelf, not a satellite in a bigger box. The 6-inch PolyPlas woofer is viscous polymer over a corrugated cellulose base, crossed at 4 kHz to a three-quarter-inch titanium-laminate dome through JBL's Straight-Line Signal Path network. Two sets of gold-plated 5-way posts, so bi-wireable. Very good condition.
Mirage LF-150 10″ Powered Subwoofer – 600W Peak, Made in Canada
A discrete MOSFET Class A/B amplifier rated 150 watts continuous and 600 watts dynamic peak, driving a 10-inch polypropylene titanium-deposit woofer on a 1.5-inch voice coil and a 28-ounce magnet. Front-ported to 23 Hz, with level, phase and crossover on the front panel instead of the back. Made in Canada, 45 lbs; very good condition.
Mirage Omnisat Wall & Ceiling Mount Clip – Original Factory Part
The factory clip supplied with the first-generation Omnisat, and the part its moulded base was shaped to accept. The clip goes on the wall or ceiling first and the speaker slides down onto it under its own weight — a one-person job, and the speaker lifts off again in seconds. Three-quarters of an inch of profile. Not the v2 bracket; the two do not interchange. Very good condition.
Mirage Omnisat OS 1PB-1 Omnipolar Satellite (Pair) – Made in Canada
Both drivers fire upward into spoon-shaped OMNIGUIDE reflectors, giving 360-degree dispersion with a deliberate forward bias. 70 Hz to 20 kHz, 89 dB, cast aluminum woofer baffle and butyl surrounds rather than foam. These are the original 7 lb version; the later revisions come in under five. Very good condition.
Mirage Omnisat OS 1PB-1 Omnipolar Satellite – Made in Canada
Both drivers fire upward into spoon-shaped reflectors Mirage calls OMNIGUIDEs, throwing sound through a full 360 degrees with a deliberate bias toward the front — which is what takes the sweet spot off a single chair. This is the original version at a genuine 7 lbs each, with a cast aluminium baffle and butyl rubber surrounds rather than foam. Built in Canada; condition very good.
Energy Connoisseur CB-10 Bookshelf Speakers — 90dB, 125W
Energy's Convergent Source Module puts the 1-inch hyperbolic aluminium dome and the 5.5-inch poly woofer close enough together to behave as a single source, which is why these set up easily and sound right from more than one seat. Crossed at 2.8 kHz, rear-ported through a port two inches across, 90 dB, rated 20 to 125 watts. Graded Very Good. The original grilles are not included.
Energy Connoisseur CC-10 Centre Channel – 92dB, 200W
Tweeter and woofers sit as close together as physically possible — Energy's Convergent Source Module — so they behave as one source and hold the balance across a wide seating area rather than one chair. Dual 5.5-inch woofers on the patented Ribbed Elliptical Surround, a 1-inch hyperbolic aluminium dome, 92 dB and up to 200 watts, rear-ported to 60 Hz. The grille is not included. Condition very good.
NHT SuperOne 6.5″ 2-Way Sealed Bookshelf Speakers — Gloss Black
Sealed, not ported — a 6.5-inch long-throw woofer and a 1-inch fluid-cooled soft dome, both video shielded, reaching 57 Hz in room without a port to smear the bottom end. 86 dB sensitivity and 25 to 150 watts, so they want a real amplifier. Radique high-density felt pads in magenta fitted under each cabinet. Very good condition.
Sherwood S-7250 CP Stereo Receiver – 20WPC, Phono, Wood Cabinet
Twenty watts a channel into 8 ohms across the full 20 Hz to 20 kHz band, an MM phono input at 80 dB signal-to-noise, and a tape monitor loop. Sherwood built these in small runs in Chicago and sold them through the same shops that carried Marantz and McIntosh. Still in its original wood cabinet. Level 1 serviced here; condition Very Good.
Yamaha CDC-902 5-Disc CD Changer – Original Remote, Plays CD-R
Near the top of Yamaha's Natural Sound carousel range, and the numbers say so — 106dB signal to noise, 96dB dynamic range, 0.003% distortion. The line output is variable from the remote, so it can drive a power amp directly in a simple system. It reads CD-Rs, which Yamaha never claimed for this generation; we verified that here. Original remote. Cosmetically graded Good.
Kenwood KR-A4070 Stereo Receiver – 60WPC, Phono, Original Remote
Sixty watts a channel into 8 ohms across the full band at 0.01% distortion, with an MM phono input at 2.5mV, a tape monitor loop, and separate bass, treble and balance. The original Kenwood remote is here, which is uncommon on a receiver of this age. Level 1 serviced; cosmetically graded Good, with honest wear for its years.
Marantz SR6300 6.1-Ch AV Receiver 100 WPC — For Parts/Repair
Does not power on. Sold as-is for parts or repair, with no warranty and no trade-back. Cosmetically it presents very well, with no significant marks to the faceplate or cabinet. Working, it was a 100-watt-per-channel 6.1 receiver with Dolby Digital EX, DTS-ES and a full set of 6.1 pre-outs. 32.7 lbs of bench project.

Pioneer SX-50 Silver Face Receiver – 50 WPC, Pre-Outs, 1983
Fifty watts a channel into 8 ohms at 0.007% distortion, and — unusually for a receiver this size — pre-out and main-in jacks on the back, so it can feed a subwoofer, take an equalizer in the loop, or hand off to a larger power amp. Introduced in 1983 with switchable CD and TV audio inputs, presets held by three AA cells, and the silver face of the decade that was ending. Graded Very Good.
Pioneer DT-540 Audio Digital Timer – Made in Japan, 1983
Two switched AC outlets on a 24-hour schedule, accurate to a tenth of a second against line frequency, with a sleep function and a fluorescent display tube. Rated to 500 watts total — enough for a receiver, deck, turntable and tuner, but not a large power amplifier. Full component width at 16.5 inches. Very good condition, timer and clock both confirmed working.
Onkyo SKC-540C Center Speaker – Dual 5″ Woofers, 130W, Silver
Two 5-inch OMF cone woofers either side of a 1-inch balanced dome, crossed at 4.5 kHz — well above where voices sit, so speech stays on one driver instead of being handed between two. Seventeen inches wide and 8.4 lbs, magnetically shielded, response 55 Hz to 50 kHz. From Onkyo's SKS-HT540 series, in the less common silver with a matching grille. Graded Good.
Energy RC-Mini Speakers – Rosenut Veneer, Canadian-Engineered
A 4.5-inch cast-basket Kevlar woofer and a 1-inch Hyperbolic aluminum dome from Energy's Reference Connoisseur series, in a rosenut veneer cabinet 7.5 inches tall that still weighs 5.2 lbs. Brushed aluminum baffle surrounds, magnetic grilles, five-way binding posts rather than clips. 91 dB, 8 ohms nominal. Designed and engineered in Canada. Graded Very Good.
JVC JR-S201 Receiver – 35 WPC, Japan, SEA EQ, Excellent
Thirty-five watts a channel at 0.01% distortion with a damping factor of 70 — numbers most larger receivers of 1978 could not reach. A five-band S.E.A. graphic equalizer sits on the front panel at 40, 250, 1k, 5k and 15kHz, alongside MM phono, two tape loops and push-button speaker terminals. Made in Japan, arrived professionally serviced; cosmetically graded Excellent.
Thiel Model 02 — Jim Thiel’s Second Loudspeaker, in Black Walnut
The second loudspeaker Jim Thiel ever put into production, from 1976, before the sloped baffles and Coherent Source work the company became known for. A 6.5-inch long-throw woofer and a 1-inch soft dome, front-ported with fourth-order Butterworth tuning to 45 Hz — front porting is why they tolerate a shelf or a wall. Graded Good: fronts and sides present well, the rear corners are rounded and dinged. Drivers excellent.
Harman Kardon AVR 1510S 375W 5.1 Receiver – 4K HDMI, Spotify
Seventy-five watts to each of five channels, four 3D-ready HDMI inputs with 4K pass-through, and one HDMI output with ARC. Spotify Connect, vTuner and DLNA over Ethernet, front-panel USB, optical and coaxial digital in. A digital supply keeps the whole thing to ten pounds. Level 1 serviced here; cosmetically graded Good.
Yamaha HTR-5170 425W AV Receiver – Phono, Dolby Digital & DTS
Eighty-five watts into 8 ohms on all five channels, measured across 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 0.04% distortion — rated the honest way rather than at a single frequency. A rear-panel selector takes the mains down to 4 ohms. Dolby Digital, DTS and Cinema DSP, MM phono, three optical and one coaxial digital input, and full 5.1 pre-outs. Same platform as the RX-V795a; 28.7 lbs.
Energy Connoisseur C-8 Tower Speakers, High Gloss Black, Canada
The flagship of Energy’s Connoisseur range, built in Toronto by a company whose voicing grew out of the National Research Council’s listening work in Ottawa. Two 8-inch aluminium-polypropylene woofers and a cloth-suspended aluminium dome, crossed at 1,800 Hz and reaching 28 Hz — genuinely full-range, so most rooms will not want a subwoofer under them. At 93 dB it runs happily on 30 watts. High-gloss black, made in Canada, 57 lb each. Very Good condition. Pair — pickup in Kanata, or we deliver.
Pioneer VSX-D511 5.1 AVR — 500W Total, Coax & Optical
One hundred watts a channel across all five into 8 ohms, so 500 watts of system power, with Dolby Digital, DTS and Pro Logic II decoding through a 96kHz/24-bit DAC. One coaxial and one optical digital input, three composite/S-Video inputs, a subwoofer pre-out, and a 30-preset AM/FM tuner. Original Pioneer remote. Very good condition, tested.
The Smaller Advent Vintage 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers, USA-Made
A 9.5-inch paper-cone woofer and a 2-inch paper-cone dome — the tweeter collectors call the fried egg — crossed at 1,500 Hz in a pure acoustic-suspension cabinet with no port anywhere. Designed by Advent founder Henry Kloss and voiced by Andy Kostatos, who went on to found Boston Acoustics. Made in the USA in 1972. Good cosmetic condition, with honest wear for a speaker now past fifty.
Sturdy Metal Speaker Stands by Atlantis 23″ — Canada | Felt Feet
Twenty-three inches to the top plate, with a 7 by 7 inch platform on an A-style base measuring 14 by 10.5 inches — a wide enough footprint that a bookshelf speaker on top is not going anywhere. Built in Canada by Atlantis, 4.8 lbs each, black. Fitted with Radique high-density felt feet, so they go straight onto hardwood or tile.
Attractive 22.5″ Speaker Stands — Glass & Metal, Black
Tempered glass top plates on a metal column and base, 22.5 inches tall and rated to 22 lbs a speaker. Cable runs concealed inside the column, and the floor spikes are height-adjustable — currently swapped for Radique Audio high-density felt feet, so they go straight onto hardwood or tile. Top plate 7.75 inches square, base 9.75. Very good condition.

Paradigm Mini Monitor v4 Bookshelf Speakers — Black Ash | Canada
A 25mm pure-titanium dome tweeter, ferro-fluid cooled, over a 165mm injection-moulded polypropylene woofer in a die-cast chassis, crossed at 2.0 kHz. The rear resistive port takes low-frequency extension to 40 Hz DIN from a cabinet of 3/4-inch high-density hardboard. Designed and built in Canada, finished in Black Ash. Cabinets solid with normal wear; condition very good.
Yamaha SW-3 Active Servo Subwoofer — 10″ Woofer | Air Woofer Tec
Yamaha’s Active Servo Technology couples a negative-impedance drive amplifier to a Helmholtz resonator port — the Air Woofer opening — so the amplifier corrects the driver’s motion as it works. 100 watts into a 25 cm cone, rated down to 25 Hz, with a continuously variable 50–150 Hz high-cut at 24 dB per octave. Speaker-level and line inputs both. Very good condition.
Yamaha YST-SW105 Active Servo Subwoofer — Compact 100W
An 8-inch front-firing paper cone on Yamaha's Advanced Active Servo amplifier — 100 watts into 5 ohms, down to 30 Hz, from a cabinet small enough to tuck beside a bookshelf pair. Continuously variable high-cut from 50 to 150 Hz, a Music/Movie voicing switch, RCA and speaker-level inputs plus full-range pass-through outputs. Very good condition.
Sony CDP-CE375 5-Disc CD Changer — Optical Out | Play & Exchange
A five-disc carousel using Sony's Play 1/Exchange 4 mechanism — you can swap four discs while the fifth keeps playing. Hybrid Pulse D/A conversion, 0.0045% distortion, better than 102 dB signal-to-noise, and a Toslink optical output for an outboard DAC or receiver. Reads CD-R and CD-RW. A third-party universal remote comes with it, covering the key functions but not all of the original ones.
Sherwood S-8250 CP AM/FM Stereo Receiver 25 WPC
Twenty-five watts a channel into 8 ohms from Sherwood's Certified Performance series — the range where Sherwood printed the measured figures for the individual unit rather than for the model. MM phono, noise filter, mute/mono, loudness and A/B speakers, behind a brushed aluminium face with walnut-grain side panels. Level 2 serviced here: bias and DC offset set, every control deoxidised.

Polk Audio RT15 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers — Versatile & Compact
Two port systems doing different jobs: the flared rear Power Port takes the low end down without the turbulence of a straight tube, while a pair of small ARC ports either side of the tweeter damp cabinet resonance in the midrange. 5.25-inch composite woofer, 0.75-inch silk dome, 89 dB, 8 ohms, 20 to 100 watts. Video-shielded, with a keyhole slot for wall mounting. Good condition.

Sealed cast aluminium enclosures, 120 Hz to 22 kHz, 86 dB, magnetically shielded. Very good cosmetic condition.
KEF HTS1001 Uni-Q Satellite Speakers Black (Single)
KEF's Uni-Q array puts a 0.6-inch aluminium dome at the acoustic centre of the 3-inch mid-bass, so dispersion stays even off-axis and the far seat hears what the middle seat does. Angled 16″ Metal Speaker Stands – Compact, Solid Metal
Sixteen inches tall, with angled pillars that still keep the top platforms level and parallel to the floor. The platforms measure about 6.75 by 6.25 inches and the bases 12 by 10, so they hold a compact bookshelf or a satellite steadily without taking much floor. Radique high-density felt feet fitted. Very good condition, light honest wear only.
