1 · Introduction
Welcome to the Radique Audio RA-Mini Compact Class D Amplifier — a powerful, versatile and remarkably compact stereo amplifier designed to bring your passive speakers to life.
Whether you’re building a desktop audio setup, upgrading a bedroom system or adding a secondary listening zone to your home, the RA-Mini delivers clean, efficient amplification in a package small enough to sit in the palm of your hand.

3 · Who is the RA-Mini for?
Perfect for

4 · Speaker compatibility
The RA-Mini drives passive (unpowered) speakers. Its speaker outputs are not compatible with active (powered, self-amplified) speakers.
Impedance
- Optimal: 4–8 Ω
- Functional: 3–10 Ω
- Outside this range, expect reduced performance or thermal protection kicking in.
Sensitivity & power
- Bookshelf/desktop (85–92 dB): excellent match
- Floorstanders (88–95 dB): good in small to medium rooms
- High-sensitivity (95+ dB): outstanding, with headroom
- Below 84 dB: may be underpowered in larger spaces
Speaker terminals
Gold-plated 5-way binding posts accept:
- Banana plugs (including Radique Audio’s gold-plated banana plugs), spade connectors and pin connectors

5 · Getting connected

Speakers
With the RA-Mini unplugged, connect your speakers to the binding posts.

Sources
Connect your CD player, turntable (with phono preamp) or other sources.

Power bar
Plug the power supply into a surge-protecting power bar that is switched off.

Wall outlet
Plug the power bar into the wall.

Power on
Switch on the power bar, then press and hold the volume knob.
Position your amp
Place it on a stable, level surface with at least 2–3 inches (5–8 cm) of clearance on all sides. Avoid enclosed cabinets without airflow.
Connect your speakers
Loosen the binding posts on the rear. Connect the right speaker to R+ (red) and R− (black), the left speaker to L+ (red) and L− (black), and tighten the posts firmly. Check polarity at both ends: positive to positive, negative to negative.
Connect your source
Choose your input (see section 6) and connect it before powering on.
Power on
Press and hold the volume knob. The LCD lights up and shows the active input. A small pop from the speakers at power-on is normal for this style of amplifier and harmless.
We strongly recommend always using a surge-protecting power bar to protect the RA-Mini and your connected equipment from surges and spikes.

Five ways to connect. Press the Mode (M) button to cycle between them.
Bluetooth 5.0
Phone, tablet or computer. Range up to 12 m; codecs MP3, AAC, SBC. Stream from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube or any app — your device’s volume slider controls overall volume.
RCA stereo (analog)
CD players, DACs, AV receivers, and turntables with a phono preamp — the RA-Mini has no phono stage. Standard red/white RCA cables.
3.5 mm AUX (analog)
Computers, laptops, tablets and portable players — any device with a headphone or line output.
USB audio
Flash drive playback: MP3, WAV, FLAC, WMA, APE.
TF card / microSD
Standalone offline playback: MP3, WAV, FLAC, WMA, APE.

8 · Power & international use
Universal input (100–240 V, 50–60 Hz) adapts automatically to power worldwide — no converter needed. When travelling, just swap the power cable for one that fits the local outlet, confirm the outlet is 100–240 V (standard in most countries), and plug in.

- Volume knob: turn to adjust; press and hold for power on/off

10 · Subwoofer compatibility
The RA-Mini works with active subwoofers that have high-level (speaker-level) inputs and outputs — common on quality modern subs.
Connect the RA-Mini’s speaker outputs to the subwoofer’s high-level inputs.
Run a second set of speaker cables from the subwoofer’s high-level outputs to your main speakers.
The subwoofer’s internal crossover handles bass separation automatically — full bass integration, no dedicated subwoofer output needed.
The RA-Mini has no dedicated subwoofer pre-out, which is typical for amplifiers of this size and price; the high-level passthrough on modern active subs provides full bass management anyway.
11 · Bluetooth streaming
Pairing
- Power on and press Mode until the display shows Bluetooth.
- On your device, open Bluetooth settings and select “RA-Mini” (or similar).
- Done — the amp reconnects to this device automatically in future.
For best performance
- Keep your device within 12 m of the amp.
- Walls, furniture and appliances reduce range.
- Your device’s volume slider controls overall volume when streaming.

My RA-Mini won’t power on
Make sure the power supply is firmly seated in the DC barrel jack on the rear, that it’s plugged into a live outlet or a power bar that is switched on, and press and hold the volume knob for 2–3 seconds.
There’s no sound from one or both speakers
Press Mode until your source is the active input. Check the speaker cables are firmly connected with correct polarity (red to red, black to black), that your source is playing with its volume up, and that the RA-Mini’s volume isn’t at zero.
The sound is distorted or buzzing
Turn the volume down — high volumes can distort with lower-sensitivity speakers. Check that no stray speaker-wire strands touch between the positive and negative terminals, and try another input to rule out the source.
Bluetooth won’t pair
Press Mode until the display shows Bluetooth. On your phone, forget any previous “RA-Mini” pairing, search again and re-pair. Stay within 12 m with few obstructions, and turn off Bluetooth on nearby devices that may have paired with it before.
Bluetooth audio cuts out
Move your device closer and reduce obstructions, reduce interference from nearby Wi-Fi routers or other Bluetooth devices, and toggle Bluetooth off and on on your phone before reconnecting.
The RA-Mini switches itself off
That’s the automatic thermal protection. Give it at least 2–3 inches of clearance on all sides, don’t place it in an enclosed cabinet without airflow, and let it cool for a few minutes before powering back on.
USB or TF card playback isn’t working
Use a supported format (MP3, WAV, FLAC, WMA or APE), store the files in the root folder of the drive or card rather than in subfolders, and try a different drive or card to rule out the media.
Does the RA-Mini have a phono input for a turntable?
No. Connect a turntable that has a built-in phono preamp, or use a separate phono preamp, to the RCA input.
Can I use the RA-Mini with powered speakers?
No. Its speaker outputs are for passive (unpowered) speakers, ideally 4–8 Ω.
13 · Warranty & support 1-year Bumper-to-Bumper manufacturer warranty
- Duration: 1 year from the date of purchase.
- Covers: manufacturing defects, component failures and performance issues.
- Doesn’t cover: accidental damage, misuse, water damage, or normal wear and tear.
How to claim
- Keep your receipt — it’s needed for a claim.
