Marantz 2235 Vintage Stereo Receiver – 35 WPC, Cherry Cabinet
In a Radique Audio cherry cabinet
The cabinet is our own, built in the spirit of Marantz's walnut WC-22. It is genuine Ottawa Valley cherry veneer over a medium-density MDF core, book-matched so the grain runs unbroken across the top and sides, sanded to 320 grit and hand-finished with boiled linseed oil and a beeswax polish, with no stains and no polyurethane. A ventilated metal grille in the top lets the receiver breathe. Cherry darkens and deepens with age, so the cabinet will look richer in ten years than it does today.
Condition: Very Good, and free of significant marks. The brushed faceplate, knobs and blue-lit dial present well. The cherry cabinet is new, made in our own shop. Photos of this receiver in its cherry cabinet are coming soon.
