A well-built subwoofer Y-splitter cable, one metre, with a braided jacket and gold-plated metal connectors, in excellent condition.
What It Is For
This is the cable you need when your receiver has a single subwoofer output and your subwoofer has two inputs marked left and right. One plug at the amplifier end, two at the subwoofer end, and the job is done.
One Cable, Not a Cable Plus an Adapter
The useful part is that it is one cable, not a cable plus an adapter. The usual way to solve this is a subwoofer cable running to a short splitter pigtail at the far end, which means two components, three extra connections and a join sitting behind the sub where nobody can see it work loose. This does the whole run in a single piece.
The Conductors
The build is a step above the generic version of this cable. The conductors are 22 gauge ultra-high purity copper rather than the thin copper-clad aluminium usual at this job, and the cable runs 7 mm in diameter with multiple shielding layers to keep interference out of a signal that then gets amplified hard by a powered subwoofer.
Connectors and Jacket
The connectors are all-metal with 24K gold plating, and the jacket is a soft-touch nylon braid — the practical benefit being that a braided cable resists kinking where it turns behind a rack, which is where cables of this kind usually fail.
A Deliberately Tight Fit
One useful thing to know: SKW machine these connectors to fit tightly on purpose, because a loose RCA is what causes hum and intermittent contact. They will feel stiffer going on than a cheap cable does. To remove one, twist it gently rather than pulling straight off.
Condition
Condition is excellent — this is effectively a like-new cable, with clean plating on every connector and no marking to the braid.
