Radique’s Take: In mint condition we normally list this great sounding model for up to $595. This particular pair has been customized with bright red woofer bezels and bright red automotive style vinyl wrap. The latter is not perfect, but certainly makes these speakers stand out, withtout sacrificing their excellent performance. We have reduced our price on this pair to $495 due to the non-standard customization.

Product Summary

● The DM 602 is twice the size of the small DM 601 and incorporates the larger 180mm, (7-inch) Kevlar® mid/bass unit. The Kevlar® cone is modelled on the cone in the Silver Signature loudspeaker – a proven design that eliminates the build-up of standing waves for a more authentic reproduction of recorded sound.

● As well as the 600 Series standard features the DM 602 also boasts flared reflex ports which dramatically increase bass efficiency and power handling. Added to this is rounded profile zinc clamping rings which connect the drivers to the cabinet and minimise the effect of diffraction around the drive unit as sound waves travel out across the face of the speaker cabinet.

● The DM 602 is recommended for shelf or stand mounted applications and is ideally suited as front channel speakers in a Home Cinema or music listening system.

● Kevlar®: B&W developed and patented the method of using Kevlar® for loudspeaker cones to reduce unwanted standing waves. DuPont originally created Kevlar® for use in bulletproof vests.
