What they are
These are the stands Linn designed specifically for the Katan, and that matters more than it would for most bookshelf speakers. The Katan has a small, particular footprint, and stands made for Linn’s Kan do not fit it. If you own a pair of Katans, or are thinking about buying one, this is the stand the speaker was meant to sit on.
The top plate is 150 by 220 mm, and the stand puts the speaker about 24 inches off the floor. The base plate is broader than the top, 204 by 260 mm, which gives the stand a steady footprint for its height.
A practical touch: a row of metal loops runs down one pillar to keep your speaker cable tidy rather than trailing loose behind the stand.
Not only for Katans
These are attractive, solid and very sturdy stands in their own right, which makes them a fine choice for a wide range of other small and medium-sized bookshelf and standmount speakers as well. The top plate is 150 by 220 mm, so that is the number to check against the base of your own speakers.
Floor contact
We have fitted Radique Audio High Density Felt pads in our signature Magenta directly to the base of each stand, so they arrive ready for hardwood, tile or laminate: the pads protect the floor and let the stands be moved without marking it. A set of large, blunt-ended threaded levelling bolts is also included, for when you want to adjust the height or set the pair level on an uneven floor.
The finish
Silver. Linn offered these stands in black or silver; the silver reads light and modern, and sits well under a wood or black cabinet alike.

The columns are hollow and meant to be filled: a bag of dry play sand roughly doubles their mass and stops the ringing. Supplied unfilled, with felt pads fitted and the original spikes included. Very good condition.
B&W 24″ Dual-Pillar All-Metal Speaker Stands, Pair, Like-New
Twenty-four inches, which puts a bookshelf tweeter at seated ear height, on twin steel pillars that are hollow and meant to be filled — sand or shot adds 10 to 15 lb a stand. The complete original spike set is here, top plate and bottom, though the pair currently wears Radique high-density felt feet for hard floors. Assembled and ready. Excellent cosmetic condition.

The steel top plates measure about 5.5 by 5 inches and carry isolation pads. Fitted here with Radique high-density felt feet for hard floors; spikes can still be added later. Very good condition.
