Revolutionary
A dynamic blend of design and performance set to transform music and movie entertainment in today’s homes. Latest technologies, engineering principles and cabinet construction combine for a compact, sumptuous loudspeaker with the accuracy, scale and drama of much larger traditional designs. All three models and the dedicated subwoofer are hand finished in a choice of Light Oak or the darker Espresso veneer and equipped with comprehensive system connectivity for easy partnering with your home theatre electronics. Play music
In two channel systems Revolution excels at pin-point imaging and revealing the finest of musical details. The WideBand™ Dual Concentric™ driver delivers genuine three-dimension imaging underpinned by low frequency extension that combines sheer visceral attack with the expressive tonal detailing required for woodwind and bass string instruments. Play movies
With multi-channel music and film soundtracks, Revolution delivers a huge soundstage backed by stunning transient impact and deep bass effects. The voice-matched dialogue speaker uses an identical driver configuration to preserve seamless surround integration and crisp, timbre-perfect voices irrespective of genre or volume. A real solution
Whether you love music or movies, Beatles or Bach, drama or all-action adventure, Revolution delivers with passion and elegance in equal measure; opulent looks, powerful performance and ideally suited to the widest range of source formats from vinyl LP to DTS HD Master Audio.
Revolution DC4LCR Features:
Audiophile crossover – Low loss laminated core inductors and audiophile-grade polypropylene capacitors are used exclusively throughout the Revolution range. This no-compromise approach ensures the best possible signal integrity to both the HF and LF sections of the Dual Concentric™ driver, enhancing the pin-sharp imaging and point-source musical integrity for which Tannoy’s ‘Dual’ driver is famed.
Optimum signal path – To minimize pathway signal losses and reduce interaction between individual components, internal structure and component topology is kept as simple as possible. This attention to fine detail runs throughout the Revolution design.
Precious metal components – Silver-plated, high purity oxygen-free copper internal wiring and chromed speaker terminals are a true high-end feature of the Revolution range. These exotic components offer low-loss, high current signal transfer to ensure every musical nuance is reproduced
Trapezoid cabinets – Giving Revolution its distinctive look and compact footprint, the trapezoidal cabinet design reduces internal resonances and reflections. Tall, yet slim and elegant the DC6T cabinet features the latest (150mm / 6.00in) Dual Concentric™ driver and an auxiliary (150mm/6.00in) bass driver for added bass extension and low frequency impact. The acoustically ideal from of the trapezoid cabinet and extensive internal bracing enhances rigidity, reduces internal reflections and delivers incredibly low cabinet colouration.
Tannoy’s Dual Concentric™ drivers have long been respected for their musical coherence, precision and detail. The Revolution range incorporates an ultra compact (100mm / 4.00”) but high powered and wide bandwidth version of Tannoy’s world renowned proprietary driver technology. The unit combines a multi fibre paper pulp low frequency cone and a titanium domed tweeter unit with a neodymium magnet system offering true point-source musical integrity and exceptional instrumental accuracy. The driver’s rigid chassis and multi-point fixing augments Revolution’s spacious, dynamic sound that thoroughly belies its elegant stature.

Onkyo SKC-540C Center Speaker – Dual 5″ Woofers, 130W, Silver
Two 5-inch OMF cone woofers either side of a 1-inch balanced dome, crossed at 4.5 kHz — well above where voices sit, so speech stays on one driver instead of being handed between two. Seventeen inches wide and 8.4 lbs, magnetically shielded, response 55 Hz to 50 kHz. From Onkyo's SKS-HT540 series, in the less common silver with a matching grille. Graded Good.
Energy Connoisseur CC-10 Centre Channel – 92dB, 200W
Tweeter and woofers sit as close together as physically possible — Energy's Convergent Source Module — so they behave as one source and hold the balance across a wide seating area rather than one chair. Dual 5.5-inch woofers on the patented Ribbed Elliptical Surround, a 1-inch hyperbolic aluminium dome, 92 dB and up to 200 watts, rear-ported to 60 Hz. The grille is not included. Condition very good.
Yamaha NS-C90 Center Speaker – Dual-Angle Tilt, Made in Japan
The cabinet is asymmetrical on purpose: flip it over and it tilts the other way, aiming up at you from a low shelf or down at you from the top of a cabinet. Sealed rather than ported, so it needs no rear clearance. Two full-range drivers, nothing crossing in the vocal band. 6 ohms, 50 watts nominal. Built in Japan; very good condition.
Paradigm Reference LCR-450 — Made in Canada, High Gloss Black
A Canadian-built Reference monitor in a high gloss black we have not had this model in before — the line of this era usually turns up in black, light cherry or dark rosenut. Sealed MTM design with Paradigm's pure-aluminium dome tweeter, and it works as a centre or as a left or right. Excellent, with its original box.
