A slim, wall-mountable center channel from Polk Audio’s Blackstone series, in very good condition, that gives movie dialogue the clarity and presence it deserves.
What it is
The TL1 center was built for a flat-panel TV. It is only about four inches tall and deep, so it tucks neatly on a TV cabinet or under a wall-mounted screen, and its curved, high-gloss cabinet is shaped to match a modern display.
Inside, a 1/2″ silk-dome tweeter sits between two 2-1/2″ Dynamic Balance mid/woofers. Polk’s Time Lens design aligns the drivers so that every frequency reaches you at the same moment, which tightens imaging and keeps voices anchored to the screen. A rear port adds bass extension, and at 89 dB sensitivity it is an easy match for any home theatre receiver.
It mounts easily too: keyhole slots on the back hang it straight on the wall, and a threaded insert takes an optional bracket.

Gold Plated Banana Plugs by Radique Audio – Dual Set Screws
Dual set screws rather than a single screw or a compression sleeve, so the wire is held at two points and will not work loose behind the rack. Six-leaf gold-plated springs for a tighter grip in the binding post, full-length non-conductive jackets colour-coded for polarity, and gentle knurling that will not fray heavy cable. 19.4 g a pair, 25% heavier than the brand we used to carry. Fits 12 to 18 AWG.

Yamaha NS-C90 Center Speaker – Dual-Angle Tilt, Made in Japan
The cabinet is asymmetrical on purpose: flip it over and it tilts the other way, aiming up at you from a low shelf or down at you from the top of a cabinet. Sealed rather than ported, so it needs no rear clearance. Two full-range drivers, nothing crossing in the vocal band. 6 ohms, 50 watts nominal. Built in Japan; very good condition.
Paradigm Reference LCR-450 — Made in Canada, High Gloss Black
A Canadian-built Reference monitor in a high gloss black we have not had this model in before — the line of this era usually turns up in black, light cherry or dark rosenut. Sealed MTM design with Paradigm's pure-aluminium dome tweeter, and it works as a centre or as a left or right. Excellent, with its original box.
