NAD 2155 Stereo Power Amplifier 55 WPC – Tested, Working Perfectly

Experience high-current, dynamic amplification from the classic NAD 2155 power amplifier—fully tested and working flawlessly. This reliable amp is an excellent choice for upgrading from a low-powered receiver, pairing with a separate preamp, or adding serious muscle to any vintage or modern audio system.

The NAD 2155 delivers a conservatively rated 55 watts per channel (8 or 4 ohms, stereo), but thanks to NAD’s unique high-headroom design and powerful output stage, it effortlessly handles demanding speakers down to 2 ohms and produces bursts of dynamic power up to 110 watts/channel for musical peaks. For even greater output, the 2155 can be operated in bridged mono mode at 125 watts per channel continuous, or up to 250 watts for short-term peaks—perfect for driving larger speaker systems.

Classic NAD features include the Soft Clipping™ circuit for smoother sound at maximum levels, a heavy transformer and output stage capable of 40 amps peak current, and an impedance selector for optimal performance with different load types. The amplifier is praised for clean, full-bodied sound with precise control—musical, punchy, and refreshingly free from harshness.

Key Features:

55W x 2 stereo output (8/4 ohms), or 125W bridged mono

Dynamic power: up to 110W/ch (stereo), 250W bridged

Soft Clipping™ circuit minimizes distortion at high output

High-current output stage—handles speakers down to 2Ω

Impedance selector for optimal speaker matching
