GAIA-TITAN Theis: GAIA, scaled up

When a speaker outweighs GAIA I’s 220 lb rating, the GAIA-TITAN line takes over. Theis is where it starts: the same patented isolation, in larger housings with heavier threads.

Which size What it does Specs Why Radique FAQ

The short answer

IsoAcoustics GAIA-TITAN Theis is a set of four heavy-duty isolators for very large floor-standing speakers and subwoofers. One set carries a speaker of up to 320 lb (145 kg). Each isolator is 2.75 in wide and 2 in tall (70 × 50 mm), in machined stainless steel, and it comes with threaded studs in 1/2″-13, M8-1.25 and M14-2.0. Above Theis, IsoAcoustics makes Rhea (420 lb) and Cronos (620 lb), which we can order in.

From GAIA I to the TITANs

One set of four per speaker. Weigh one speaker and choose the model rated above it; IsoAcoustics recommends moving up a size near the limit.

Model	Speaker weight (one set of 4 per speaker)	Isolator size (W × H)	Thread adaptors
GAIA I	220 lb (100 kg)	2.5 × 1.9 in (62 × 49 mm)	M8-1.25 · M12-1.25 · 1/4″-20
GAIA-TITAN Theis (this one)	320 lb (145 kg)	2.75 × 2 in (70 × 50 mm)	1/2″-13 · M8-1.25 · M14-2.0
GAIA-TITAN Rhea (to order)	420 lb (190 kg)	3.1 × 2.3 in (80 × 58 mm)	1/2″-13 · M8-1.25 · M14-2.0
GAIA-TITAN Cronos (to order)	620 lb (280 kg)	3.9 × 2.3 in (100 × 58 mm)	1/2″-13 · M10-1.5 · M14-2.0

What GAIA-TITAN Theis does

Built for the heaviest speakers

Larger housings than GAIA I (70 mm wide against 62 mm) and heavier-duty threads, including M14-2.0 and 1/2″-13, for speakers beyond 220 lb.

Decouples the speaker

Spikes tie a speaker’s cabinet to the floor. GAIA isolates it instead, which IsoAcoustics says cuts the reflected energy and structure-borne resonance that blur bass, imaging and low-level detail.

Award-winning

GAIA-TITAN and OREA shared Hong Kong HiFi Review’s 2021 Product of the Year, on top of the GAIA line’s EISA and Stereophile awards.

Questions we get about this one

How many sets do you need?

One set of four per speaker, so two sets for a pair. Each set is rated for one speaker.

Theis or GAIA I?

Weigh one speaker. Up to 220 lb (100 kg), GAIA I does the job; above that, or close to it, Theis carries up to 320 lb (145 kg) and adds the heavier M14-2.0 and 1/2″-13 threads that big speakers often use.

Heavier than 320 lb?

IsoAcoustics makes GAIA-TITAN Rhea, rated for 420 lb (190 kg), and Cronos, rated for 620 lb (280 kg). We can order either one: ask us for a quote.

Will it fit your speaker’s threads?

Theis comes with 1/2″-13, M8-1.25 and M14-2.0 threaded studs. Check what your current spikes screw into, or send us the make and model and we’ll check before you order.

Does it work on carpet?

Yes. On thick pile or underpad, IsoAcoustics makes GAIA-TITAN Theis Carpet Disks rated for the same 320 lb (145 kg); we can order them in.

Which way round does it go?

With the IsoAcoustics logo facing your listening position, or turned 180°, so the isolator lines up with the speaker’s forward and back motion.

What warranty does it have?

Brand new in IsoAcoustics’ retail box, with IsoAcoustics’ 2-year manufacturer’s warranty in Canada against defects in materials and workmanship. If anything is wrong, contact us and we’ll handle it with IsoAcoustics. More in our warranty FAQ.

What does shipping cost? Is pickup possible?

Pickup in Kanata is free, by appointment. To have it shipped, add it to your cart and enter your city and postal code on the cart page: you’ll see live carrier rates before you commit. We ship across Canada and internationally. Buying it with one of our pre-owned speakers or components? Then it rides along in the same order at no extra shipping cost.

Big speakers, big questions?

Send us the make, model and weight of one speaker, and we’ll confirm the right TITAN and thread before you order.

Under floor-standing speakers

GAIA isolators screw in place of your spikes, one set of four per speaker: GAIA III to 70 lb, GAIA II to 120 lb, GAIA I to 220 lb and the GAIA-TITAN Theis to 320 lb. Subwoofers sit on the Aperta Sub.

Under bookshelf speakers and monitors

The ISO-130, ISO-155 and ISO-200 stands lift, tilt and isolate desktop and shelf speakers; Aperta stands and ISO-PUCKs do the same job in other shapes.

Under turntables and electronics

OREA feet, sold singly and used three or four at a time, go under amplifiers, DACs and players. The zaZen I and zaZen II platforms give a turntable a quieter base.
