A 25 mm pure-titanium dome tweeter with PTD (Pure-Titanium Dome) construction and ferro-fluid damping provides extended, low-distortion high frequencies, while the 6.5-inch woofer uses a die-cast aluminum chassis, ICP injection-molded co-polymer polypropylene cone, and Apical voice-coil former for linear excursion and robust power handling. A substantial rear-firing resistive port is tuned to extend bass response down to approximately 40 Hz (DIN), giving these monitors genuine low-frequency authority for their size.
Multi-layer MDF cabinetry with internal bracing and acoustic damping reduces panel resonances so that what you hear is the driver output rather than box coloration. Sensitivity around 90 dB in-room (87 dB anechoic) and an 8 ohm-compatible load make the Mini Monitor v3 easy to drive with amplifiers from about 15 to 100 watts, whether tube or solid state. This Dark Cherry pair is graded Good overall, approximately 7/10. The cabinets had previously seen rougher use; they have since been carefully touched up and are now much more presentable, but still show visible marks and finish variation under closer inspection, especially in bright light. One grille has a broken mounting pin, though it still seats reasonably well; the other grille is intact. Drivers, ports, and binding posts are all in excellent condition, and the speakers work perfectly, delivering the tight, extended bass, open midrange, and smooth, detailed highs that made the Mini Monitor v3 so popular. Otherwise good — and the design is the interesting part, since Mission's inverted geometry puts the tweeter below the woofer to bring the two into step at seated ear height. Made in England.
Bowers & Wilkins WM2 Outdoor Speakers, Pearl White, w/ Brackets
On an outdoor speaker the condition is the whole story — these are almost never retired for how they sound, but for sun turning a white cabinet chalky and yellow, freeze-thaw working at the seams, and grilles blooming with rust. Pearl White shows all of it more plainly than black would, and this pair grades Very Good, factory wall brackets included. B&W did not design a weatherproof box and then find a driver to fit it either: a 130 mm woven fibreglass cone crossed at 3.5 kHz to a 25 mm dome, the same material philosophy as their indoor speakers.

The cherry veneer is deep-figured real timber, book-matched across the two cabinets so the grain mirrors when they are set up together, then sealed and waxed by hand over more than five days.
