Blaupunkt Micronic T-60 AM/FM Tuner & Preamp – Made in Japan

A Blaupunkt Micronic T-60 AM/FM tuner and preamplifier from 1981, designed by Blaupunkt in Germany and made in Japan to Blaupunkt’s specifications, with a phono stage for your turntable. It has been tested on our bench and is in very good condition.

What it is

The Micronic 60 components were Blaupunkt’s answer to the micro hi-fi craze of the early 1980s, full-function separates shrunk to about a third of the usual width, and they are hard to find today. We love these. The T-60 is the system’s source center: an AM/FM tuner with a five-step LED signal meter and a stereo indicator, plus a preamplifier that switches between the tuner, a phono input for your turntable, an aux input and a tape deck, with a mono switch for weak FM stations.

It has no volume control of its own; its fixed line-level output cable plugs into any amplifier or receiver with a line input. Its natural partner is the matching A-60 amplifier, which has a single input and the volume and tone controls, so the two together make the complete Micronic system. On its own, the T-60 adds a radio and a phono stage to any amplifier that lacks them.

On the back are FM antenna terminals for 300 ohm and 75 ohm leads, AM terminals, a swing-out AM bar antenna, a ground post for your turntable, and a voltage selector set for 120 volts.

The testing it has had

Tested on our bench before listing: every input, the output and every control, and the AM/FM tuner.

Condition

Very Good, and free of significant marks.

Radio, phono and tape in a box a quarter of a metre wide: the source half of Blaupunkt’s rare Micronic system.
