A like-new pair of Bowers & Wilkins dual-pillar all-metal speaker stands in excellent cosmetic condition — a properly engineered, mass-loadable, ear-height-correct stand from one of the most respected names in loudspeaker design, ready to elevate any quality bookshelf or stand-mount speaker.
These are the dedicated B&W bookshelf-speaker stands of the kind designed to partner with B&W’s premium standmount loudspeakers, and they bring the same engineering principles found across the full B&W stand line: rigid all-steel construction in the top plate, base, and twin upright pillars; hollow uprights that can be filled with sand or steel shot for substantial added mass and vibration damping; and the careful 24-inch ear-height geometry that places a typical bookshelf speaker’s tweeter at the correct seated-listener level. The result is a stand that meaningfully tightens bass response, improves imaging precision, and adds the kind of dynamic stability that loose-set speakers on shelves or generic stands simply cannot match.
Both stands include the complete original spike-foot set: top-plate spikes for direct mechanical coupling to a compatible bookshelf speaker, plus bottom-plate spikes for use on carpet. The pair is currently fitted with Radique Audio high-density felt feet in place of the bottom-plate spikes — an upgrade we recommend for owners with hardwood, engineered laminate, vinyl-plank, tile, or polished concrete floors, as the felt feet protect the floor finish while adding a measurable layer of mechanical decoupling between stand and floor. The original spikes are included and can be re-fitted in seconds for installations on carpet.
The hollow uprights on this pair are presently unfilled, leaving the next owner with an easy, inexpensive, and effective tuning option: filling the posts with sand, lead shot, or steel shot adds substantial mass that further improves vibration damping and bass tightness. A filled pair can comfortably gain 10–15 lbs of additional mass per stand, transforming the assembly’s character without any modification to the stand itself.
The stands are fully assembled and ready to use as-is; no additional hardware is required for installation. Bolting the top plate down to a compatible speaker would require buyer-supplied bolts in the appropriate size for the partnering loudspeaker (typically M6 or M8, depending on the speaker model).
This particular pair is in like-new cosmetic condition, presenting cleanly with no significant marks on the powder-coated black finish, and ready for an easy installation by the next owner.
