As much as 75% of a movie’s soundtrack is played by the center-channel loudspeaker making it arguably the most important speaker in a home theater system. The ProCenter 600 center-channel loudspeaker is ideal for use as a center-channel speaker in conjunction with Dolby Surround Sound Pro-Logic and Dolby Digital decoding.
The ProCenter 600 features Definitive’s Balanced Dual Surround System (BDSS) driver design, which places a surround on both the outer and inner edge of the speaker cone for greater linear excursion and exceptional clarity. This technology helps the system deliver big sound using smaller speakers.
The Gorgeous ProCenter 600 center channel speaker uses two 3-1/4″ midranges and two side-mounted passive radiators for crystal-clear dialogue and true-to-life sound effects. It boasts drivers with butyl rubber surrounds for enhanced durability and performance, and a pure aluminum dome tweeter for detailed, extended highs. The passive radiators are unusual for a center speaker, particularly one of this compact size, and help to significantly extend the ProCenter 600’s bass range.
Its tweeter is heat-treated to relax the crystal structure of the metal. It’s then coated with a ceramic to help it produce crisp, extended highs that reveal subtle details and shimmer without a trace of edginess.
The ProCenter 600 is video shielded, boasts an attractive high-gloss black finish, a leveler foot to facilitate ideal directional placement, removable cloth grille, and gold-plated 5-Way bindings suitable for banana plugs.
Handles up to 175 watts at 8-ohm impedance, with a sensitivity of 89 dB.
Dimensions: 11-9/16″ W x 4-1/16″H x 4-3/16″D

Yamaha NS-C90 Center Speaker – Dual-Angle Tilt, Made in Japan
The cabinet is asymmetrical on purpose: flip it over and it tilts the other way, aiming up at you from a low shelf or down at you from the top of a cabinet. Sealed rather than ported, so it needs no rear clearance. Two full-range drivers, nothing crossing in the vocal band. 6 ohms, 50 watts nominal. Built in Japan; very good condition.
Paradigm Reference LCR-450 — Made in Canada, High Gloss Black
A Canadian-built Reference monitor in a high gloss black we have not had this model in before — the line of this era usually turns up in black, light cherry or dark rosenut. Sealed MTM design with Paradigm's pure-aluminium dome tweeter, and it works as a centre or as a left or right. Excellent, with its original box.
