The ICF-C1iPMK2 is the second-generation Dream Machine iPod dock, sold by Sony from 2009 through the early 2010s as one of the most popular bedside iPod/iPhone docks on the market. Even today, with 30-pin Apple devices long since retired, the unit remains genuinely useful — it offers a large, clean white LCD clock display with adjustable brightness, full AM and FM radio with PLL digital tuning, dual programmable alarms (one for radio, one for buzzer), gradual-wake “Extendable Snooze,” sleep timer, automatic daylight savings adjustment, and CR2032 backup battery so the clock and alarm survive a power outage. The unit is mains-powered with a built-in AC cord — no separate adapter to lose — and includes a 3.5 mm audio-in jack on the rear for connecting any external source.

The audio section uses a stereo amplifier rated at 3 W + 3 W into a pair of 5.1 cm (2-inch) full-range drivers, with Sony’s “Mega Xpand” wide-stereo enhancement.
