The Focal Chorus CC 70 S is a compact, made-in-France center channel designed to match the Chorus 700/705 S series, finished here in the Technic dark grey that pairs perfectly with Chorus 705 S and other Chorus S models. It uses Focal’s Polyglass mid/bass drivers and an inverted-dome tweeter to deliver clear dialogue, natural tonality, and seamless integration across the front soundstage.

Internally, the CC 70 S is a 2-way, shielded bass-reflex design with dual 140 mm Polyglass mid/bass drivers flanking a 25 mm inverted-dome tweeter, giving it both weight and articulation for movie dialogue and music vocals. The enclosure is carefully tuned to provide a broad, stable soundstage, so voices stay locked to the screen even for off-axis listeners. Being magnetically shielded, it was originally designed to sit close to CRT displays, but that same control and focus make it an excellent match for modern flat panels as well.

The cabinet follows the same Chorus S design language, with a solid MDF build and front-ported layout that allows more flexible placement on stands, shelves, or media furniture. Sensitivity around 90 dB and an 8 ohm nominal load mean the CC 70 S is easy to drive with a wide range of AV receivers and integrated amplifiers, while still scaling up nicely with higher-quality electronics.

Cosmetic Condition:
This Technic dark grey CC 70 S is in good cosmetic condition. There are light marks and signs of use on the cabinet consistent with normal handling and age, but no damage that affects performance or function. The drivers and terminals are all in good working shape.

The grille has been freshly re-clothed in our own shop. The original grey cloth had gone worn and tired-looking; it now wears clean black fabric, cut and fitted here. On a centre channel sitting under a television that is the one part of the speaker anybody actually looks at, and it is the difference between a unit that reads as used and one that reads as cared for. Note that this is a change from the factory appearance, and to our eye an improvement — black disappears against most media furniture where the original grey did not.
