Audio Reflex ART-600 Analog AM/FM Tuner – Rackmount
The Audio Reflex ART-600 is a handsome vintage analog AM/FM tuner with rackmount handles and a noticeably more substantial build than its badge might suggest. The large weighted tuning knob has real flywheel-like inertia, giving a smooth, gyroscopic feel very reminiscent of higher-end classic tuners when spun across the dial. Its brushed silver dial glass, separate signal-strength and tuning meters, and clean black faceplate make it an attractive centerpiece in a matching Audio Reflex stack or any vintage system.
Front-panel controls include a power switch, continuously variable output level knob, and a function selector for FM stereo, mono, and AM reception. To the right of the tuning scale are MPX filter and FM muting switches, which help reduce noise and inter-station hiss—features more often seen on better tuners than on entry-level units. All knobs and switches are metal and feel pleasantly heavy and cold to the touch, reinforcing the impression of higher-than-expected build quality. Paired with its rack handles and compact depth, the ART-600 is well suited to both shelf systems and simple rack installations.

AKAI AT-A1 AM/FM Stereo Tuner – Ultra Slim Profile
An analog tuner from 1980 in a chassis 50mm tall — two inches, which is about as thin as a full-width component gets. Needle-pointer dial with a printed scale, an AM/FM selector, a single RCA output, and nothing else. Tuning engages smoothly across both bands and the output is clean. Condition good, with a clean front bezel and honest age on a 45-year-old component.
AKAI AT-K11 AM/FM Stereo Tuner – Professional Build Grade
A 1981 analog tuner with a mechanical servo that locks onto a station and holds it, so there is no digital drift to think about. 65dB signal to noise on FM, 775mV out on FM and 250mV on AM, into a single RCA pair. Nearly ten pounds of chassis, heavier than this end of the range usually got. Tested across both bands; good cosmetic condition.
Sony ST-2950 SD AM/FM Stereo Tuner – Walnut Side Panels
Two microvolts IHF sensitivity and 73 dB signal-to-noise, with FM distortion at 0.5% mono and 0.7% stereo — enough front end to hold a weak station cleanly. Silver faceplate, illuminated dial, and the original faux walnut side panels. Made in Japan between 1976 and 1979. Tested and verified working; good cosmetic condition.

A digital synthesiser tuner with a traditional analog knob, stepping in 0.05 MHz on FM and 1 kHz on AM — fine enough that it works as an AM DX receiver and not only an FM tuner. Seven presets for each band, separate local/distance switches for FM and AM, 300 and 75 ohm antenna inputs, and a rear output level trim. Built in Japan, 1980 to 1981; tested here.
