Overview

The IsoAcoustics Aperta Sub XL is a low-profile subwoofer isolation stand designed to help larger front-firing and side-firing subwoofers deliver tighter, cleaner bass by reducing unwanted energy transfer into the supporting surface. Rated for subwoofers up to 160 lbs (72.6 kg), it is a smart fit for heavier subwoofer designs where generic pads or spikes can feel like guesswork.

Rather than letting cabinet energy dump straight into the floor, the Aperta Sub XL uses IsoAcoustics’ patented isolation approach to help reduce room rattle, bass smear, and reflected vibration coming back into the cabinet.

Build & Design

The Aperta Sub XL uses a sculpted aluminum frame with a clean black finish and a very low profile, measuring 14.5” wide x 16” deep x 1.5” high. Its shape allows it to sit directly underneath the subwoofer cabinet without interfering with the subwoofer’s existing feet.

Each retail box includes four carpet discs for use on carpeted surfaces, giving the stand a firmer connection through thick carpet. The Aperta Sub XL arrives ready to use, with no assembly required.

Performance & Compatibility

The Aperta Sub XL is designed for subwoofers up to 160 lbs (72.6 kg) and works with both front-firing and side-firing designs. By decoupling the cabinet from the floor or supporting surface, it helps prevent physical energy transfer that can excite the room, blur bass lines, and create nuisance rattles.

For side-firing subwoofers, the stand should be rotated so the isolators align with the driver direction. As a practical fit check, the flat bottom surface of the subwoofer should be roughly the same size or larger than the stand, though a modest amount of overhang is generally acceptable.
