A two-way passive centre with two 4.5-inch polypropylene woofers, a 2-inch tweeter, and dual bass ports vented out the front — so it can go inside a cabinet or under a television without the bass loading up. 100 watts, 8 ohms, eighteen and three-quarter inches wide and about 10 lb. Designed by Gordon Van Kessel and made in Canada.

A large full-range centre from Sound Dynamics, the Canadian house that also gave us Energy, Mirage and Athena. Dual front ports, so it can go into a cabinet or against a wall without choking. 60 Hz to 20 kHz, 90 dB at a metre, up to 110 watts, 12 ohms nominal with an 8 ohm minimum. Nearly 19 inches wide, 11.9 pounds. Excellent condition; two available.
