Belt drive with a frequency-generator servo motor, a 304mm die-cast aluminium platter, and a static-balanced S-type arm with auto-return — 0.045% wow and flutter, six percent pitch either side of centre. The Technics EPC-U25 cartridge takes styli from conical up to Shibata, so there is a cheap path to more later. We sold this one, serviced it, and took it back in trade; condition Good.

A mid-1980s German semi-automatic — XM300 lightweight alloy tonearm, DC 200-1 motor, 304 mm non-magnetic die-cast aluminium platter, electronic switching between 33⅓ and 45. The arm returns and the motor stops on its own at the end of a side. Fitted with a Stanton 680HP cartridge and matching D6800HP spherical stylus, and the ground lead has been upgraded to a spade connector.
