Denon 540 Watt 6.1 AVR with 2nd Zone, Phono, & Remote
Perfect, high quality component for pulling double duty between home theater and stereo music roles.
Every time you watch a DVD, or listen to your favorite music, the AVR-2802 can make it a 6.1-channel, 360º surround sound experience! It has built-in decoding for DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 and DTS-ES Matrix 6.1 encoded sources, plus DTS Neo:6 modes for turning stereo music and Dolby soundtracks into full 6.1-channel audio.
Denon’s high-current amplification with 90 full-bandwidth-rated watts x 6 channels (front left/center/rear, surround left/rear, and back surround) drives your speakers with clarity and authority. The impressive back-panel lets you hook up 4 digital audio, 3 analog audio, and 5 A/V components, plus 2 sources with component video output and a 5.1 audio source like DVD-Audio.
Cinema EQ corrects movie soundtracks for home theater-sized rooms. And dual-room/dual-source capability lets you thrill to 6.1-channel sound in your main listening room while a housemate enjoys a different stereo source in another.

100 watts minimum RMS on every one of the five channels into 8 ohms, and dynamic power that climbs to 110, 130, 160 and 180 watts into 8, 6, 4 and 2 ohms — a receiver that keeps increasing output as the load gets harder has a supply with something in reserve. Where it earns its keep is bass management: a crossover selectable across nine points from 40 Hz to 200 Hz with a 12 dB per octave high-pass on front, centre and surround.
