An optical cable built to last
Budget optical cables tend to fail after a few plug-ins. Ours has moulded strain relief at both ends and a braided mesh over a sturdy PVC layer, so it keeps working.
The short answer
The Radique Audio Black Series optical cable is a Toslink (S/PDIF optical) digital audio cable, in 1 m or 2 m. An optical fibre core sits inside a sturdy, flexible PVC layer and a soft braided mesh, with moulded strain relief boots and gold-plated connectors at both ends. It carries everything an optical connection supports: two-channel PCM stereo, plus Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 surround.

What will it connect?
Any optical (Toslink / S/PDIF) output to an optical input: a TV, PlayStation, Xbox, CD, DVD or Blu-ray player to a soundbar, receiver, preamp, processor or DAC.
Will it carry Dolby Atmos?
Optical tops out at Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 and two-channel PCM. Lossless formats (Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Atmos) and multichannel PCM need an HDMI connection, whatever optical cable you use.
1 m or 2 m?
Measure the run with a little slack; when in doubt, the longer one is easier to route.
What warranty does it have?
A 1-year warranty, like every Radique Audio product: if it fails under normal use within the year, we replace it at no charge. See our warranty FAQ.
What does shipping cost? Is pickup possible?
Pickup in Kanata is free, by appointment. To have it shipped, add it to your cart and enter your city and postal code on the cart page: you’ll see live carrier rates before you commit. We ship across Canada and internationally. Buying it with one of our pre-owned speakers or components? Then it rides along in the same order at no extra shipping cost.
Do you ship to the United States?
Yes. On Radique Audio products we add the US import duties and fees at checkout and prepay them for you, so there’s nothing to pay at delivery.
