This Northridge E Series EC25 center channel loudspeaker was custom-designed to superbly reproduce the human voice. Many movie soundtracks consist mainly of dialogue, so the center speaker shoulders the burden of filling a home theater. The EC25 easily handles the job. And it’s video-shielded, so it can be placed on top of a television.
Boasting JBL’s Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal (EOS)™ wave guide ensures that every seat is the best seat in the house for intelligible dialogue. Equipped with JBL’s titanium-laminate tweeter and dual PolyPlas woofers, the speaker reproduces dialogue with extreme clarity. The lows and mids, assisted by the FreeFlow flared port, are loud and clear, without unwanted distortion or “boominess”.
Features 150-watt maximum amplifier power with 75-watt/300-watt continuous/peak power handling.
Sturdy gold-plated, 5-way binding posts provide a strong connection that preserves all of the nuances of the original program. The computer-designed, miter-joint cabinet virtually eliminates distortion, and its slim European profile won’t overpower your room.

Paradigm Reference LCR-450 — Made in Canada, High Gloss Black
A Canadian-built Reference monitor in a high gloss black we have not had this model in before — the line of this era usually turns up in black, light cherry or dark rosenut. Sealed MTM design with Paradigm's pure-aluminium dome tweeter, and it works as a centre or as a left or right. Excellent, with its original box.

Two 5.25-inch Dynamic Balance mid/bass drivers flanking a 1-inch dome, all video-shielded, with a cascaded second-order crossover at 2 kHz and 900 Hz to keep voices open. 90 dB, 8 ohms, 10 to 180 watts, 52 Hz to 26 kHz. Five-way binding posts, black finish, 16.75 inches wide and 19 lbs. Very good cosmetic condition.

Two 5-inch OMF cone woofers either side of a 1-inch balanced dome, crossed at 4.5 kHz — well above where voices sit, so speech stays on one driver instead of being handed between two. Seventeen inches wide and 8.4 lbs, magnetically shielded, response 55 Hz to 50 kHz. From Onkyo's SKS-HT540 series, in the less common silver with a matching grille. Graded Good.
