Description

Overview

Kimber Hero is a step-up analog interconnect built around Kimber Kable’s four-wire quadratic braid and designed for listeners who want greater bandwidth, lower noise, and more refined system performance from low-level signal links. Made in the USA, Hero uses four 19 AWG VariStrand copper conductors insulated with virgin FEP dielectric, giving it a more substantial design than Kimber’s entry-level interconnects while preserving the brand’s long-standing focus on musical accuracy.

This listing covers the Hero interconnect range we’re stocking in standard pairs, with a choice of four lengths and four termination options: Ultraplate Black, WBT-0114 CU, WBT-0102 CU, or balanced XLR.

Build & Design

Hero uses a four wire quadratic braid rather than conventional shielding, with the geometry itself helping provide wide bandwidth and strong noise rejection. Kimber specifies single and dual layer low-loss fluorocarbon dielectric, VariStrand copper conductors, and nitrogen-assisted hand-soldered termination. It is a more ambitious design than Tonik or PBJ, and the additional conductor complexity is central to what makes Hero a meaningful step up in the range.

Performance & Compatibility

Hero is aimed at serious two-channel and high-performance source-component systems where cleaner signal transfer, lower noise, and stronger spatial precision are worth chasing. It is a strong fit for DACs, streamers, CD players, phono stages, preamp-to-power-amp links, and balanced systems where the XLR option can take advantage of Hero’s geometry for added immunity to noise and signal degradation.

If you’re comparing across the range, Hero sits above Tonik and PBJ as a more premium Kimber option, while still making practical sense in systems that are already revealing enough to benefit from better interconnects.

What’s in the Box

This is brand new authorized dealer stock. We’re listing Hero in 0.5 m, 1.0 m, 1.5 m, and 2.0 m standard-pair lengths, with Ultraplate Black, WBT-0114 CU, WBT-0102 CU, and balanced termination options. If you’d like help choosing the right connector type or deciding whether Hero makes sense over Tonik, PBJ, or our Radique Gold Series interconnects, just ask.

Why Buy From Radique

We focus hard on system matching, honest comparisons, and helping customers choose the cable that actually fits their gear and goals. If you’re deciding between Hero and a lower-tier Kimber model, or weighing it against our own Radique alternatives, we’re happy to help without the usual cable-sales smoke machine.
