At the heart of the RC-62 is Klipsch’s celebrated Tractrix horn loaded with a 1-inch titanium-diaphragm compression driver, matched to a large ceramic motor structure for precision, clarity, and effortless dynamic power. The RC-62 employs dual 6.5-inch Cerametallic woofers with inverted copper dust caps, offering a very high stiffness-to-mass ratio and superb damping characteristics. Uniquely, the RC-62 uses Klipsch’s Tapered Array design — both woofers operate at the lowest frequencies to maintain high output capability, but only one operates through the midrange up to the tweeter crossover. This eliminates the acoustic interference between woofers that can compromise off-axis performance in conventional center channel designs, delivering noticeably cleaner dialogue across the seating area.

The rigid, cross-braced cabinet is finished in black ash woodgrain vinyl and features twin front-firing ports for clean, turbulence-free bass. The speaker is fully video-shielded, and the freshly re-clothed magnetic grille presents beautifully.
