The Philips 22GA427 is a rare and handsome early-to-mid-1970s belt-drive turntable made in Holland, featuring a real wood plinth and clean silver top plate that give it a warm, furniture-grade presence. This design uses a belt-drive motor and a lightly suspended chassis to help isolate the platter and tonearm from external vibration. The simple front-panel rocker controls make operation intuitive. The deck is semi-automatic: at the end of the record the arm returns and the motor switches off, and as with this Philips series it should be turned off using either the auto-return cycle or the stop switch for proper operation.

The straight, low-mass tonearm is well-suited to modern moving-magnet cartridges and offers adjustable tracking force (approximately 0–4 g range) and anti-skate for correct setup.
