The R15s are a straightforward, enjoyable answer to “How can I afford good Polk speakers?” in a small room. A 3/4″ Dynamic Balance silk/polymer dome tweeter is paired with a 5-1/4″ Dynamic Balance composite woofer in a front-ported bass-reflex cabinet, giving clean, smooth highs and satisfyingly full mids and upper bass from a compact enclosure. Sensitivity is a useful 89 dB and nominal impedance is 8 ohms, so they’re easy to drive with virtually any receiver or integrated amp rated from about 20 watts per channel upward.

Each cabinet is video-shielded, making them safe to place near older CRT displays, and the front-firing port plus compact footprint gives good placement flexibility — on a shelf, on stands, or up against a wall. A keyhole slot on the back panel allows simple wall-mounting when used as surrounds in a home-theatre system.
