Enjoy detailed sound from Definitive Technology’s most compact multi-purpose speakers — the Mythos Gems. Each speaker houses two 3-1/2″ mid/bass drivers that are angled away from each other to create a spacious, lifelike soundstage. They flank a 1″ pure aluminum dome tweeter that reveals lots of detail and nuance without adding a trace of edginess.
The enclosure is made of black hand-polished aluminum for a sleek look that’ll go well with most modern décors. A keyhole slot on the back of each speaker allows you to mount them on your walls for out-of-the-way placement, or you can mount them on stands if you prefer. (We have several sets available that will accommodate them nicely.

Rear-ported, on 5-way binding posts that take banana plugs, and 10.5 inches tall.

One speaker, not a pair. Four drivers on two angled baffles — two 19 mm CMC domes and two 140 mm MPC cones on die-cast chassis — running out of phase above the 2 kHz crossover and in phase below it. That is what Paradigm meant by adapted dipole: a diffuse surround field without giving up the bass. The upper piece of vinyl cladding has been removed, so the top wants painting or a spot out of sight.
