Listed as-is for parts or repair: a GoldenEar ForceField 4 powered subwoofer with a very good cabinet and a known-good 10-inch woofer, but with an amplifier board that requires service. An honest, transparent listing for a technically minded buyer or repair shop looking to bring a serious GoldenEar sub back to life at a fraction of replacement cost.
The ForceField 4 is the popular mid-line GoldenEar powered subwoofer — a 1,200-watt-rated DSP-controlled design with a custom front-firing 10-inch long-throw woofer, an 11 x 13 inch quadratic planar down-firing passive radiator, and the elegant non-parallel-wall cabinet that gives the ForceField line its distinctive look and exceptionally low standing-wave behaviour. When working as designed, the ForceField 4 produces remarkably deep, tuneful bass for its compact footprint — but every ForceField is only as good as its amplifier, and the amplifier on this particular unit requires service.
Honest condition disclosure:
Cabinet: Very good cosmetic condition, no significant marks or damage
Woofer: Tested, in very good working condition
Passive radiator: Intact and undamaged
Amplifier board: Requires service — sold as-is, with no representation that the amplifier is functional in its current state

Sold as-is, for parts or repair, with no warranty and no trade-back. There is no sound output from any channel and the display is frozen; it has not been serviced. When it worked it was a 1993 flagship — 110 watts a channel at 0.015% distortion, Dolby Pro Logic, MM phono, pre-outs, and 41 lbs of it. For someone who repairs things.

Front-ported to 23 Hz, with level, phase and crossover on the front panel instead of the back. Made in Canada, 45 lbs; very good condition.
