Designed and built in Canada, the Paradigm Mini Monitor v4 is one of the finest bookshelf speakers ever to carry a modest price tag — a two-way bass-reflex standmount that consistently outperforms expectations set by its size and cost.
The Mini Monitor v4 sits a clear step above Paradigm’s entry-level Atom and Titan in every measurable and audible respect. The tweeter alone makes the case: a 25mm pure-titanium dome and former with ferro-fluid cooling and damping — driver technology that, at this price point, is frankly out of sync with what the speaker costs. Paired with a 165mm ICP™ injection-moulded co-polymer polypropylene cone midrange/woofer with an Apical™ former in a diecast chassis, the result is a two-way design whose drivers resist breakup modes well above their operating range, translating to clean, composed sound even when pushed hard. Crossover is handled at 2.0 kHz via a third-order electro/acoustic network.
The cabinet is equally well-considered: heavily damped, rigidly braced 3/4-inch high-density hardboard construction with a generously sized rear-firing resistive port that coaxes genuinely deep bass extension — 40 Hz (DIN) — from a cabinet this compact. Five-way binding posts accommodate bare wire, spades, and banana plugs, and magnetic shielding makes these friendly for placement near screens. The Black Ash vinyl finish is clean and classic, and the translucent polypropylene cone driver is a distinctive aesthetic detail when the grilles come off.
This pair is in very good condition — cabinets are solid with normal cosmetic wear, drivers and grilles are very good, and the sound is excellent.
Radique’s Take: Atoms are great and Titans are grand, but if you have the budget, spring for the Mini Monitors every time. 🙂

The reason to want these is the tweeter — MartinLogan's Folded Motion driver is a pleated ribbon rather than a dome, so it squeezes air out from between its pleats and barely has to move. A 5.25-inch aluminium cone below it, 92 dB sensitivity, and the high-gloss black clean of the swirls these show so readily. Original boxes included.

Two things to tell you: a ding on the top side edge of one cabinet, and third-party binding posts a previous owner fitted to one speaker. Otherwise good — and the design is the interesting part, since Mission's inverted geometry puts the tweeter below the woofer to bring the two into step at seated ear height. Made in England.
Bowers & Wilkins WM2 Outdoor Speakers, Pearl White, w/ Brackets
On an outdoor speaker the condition is the whole story — these are almost never retired for how they sound, but for sun turning a white cabinet chalky and yellow, freeze-thaw working at the seams, and grilles blooming with rust. Pearl White shows all of it more plainly than black would, and this pair grades Very Good, factory wall brackets included. B&W did not design a weatherproof box and then find a driver to fit it either: a 130 mm woven fibreglass cone crossed at 3.5 kHz to a 25 mm dome, the same material philosophy as their indoor speakers.

From a Yorkshire company that spent forty years being known for its cabinets above all else. The cherry veneer is deep-figured real timber, book-matched across the two cabinets so the grain mirrors when they are set up together, then sealed and waxed by hand over more than five days. Underneath is an honest two-way bass-reflex with a 130 mm woven natural-fibre bass/mid driver and five-way binding posts. Very Good condition.
