The SS-CS8 uses a 2-way, 3-driver bass-reflex design pairing a 4-inch Mica Reinforced Cellular (MRC) woofer with a 1-inch wide-dispersion super tweeter — Sony’s specifically designed high-frequency driver for extended, even coverage across a wide listening area. The MRC cone construction provides rigidity and low mass for accurate, dynamic midrange reproduction, making dialogue and vocal reproduction particularly clear and natural. Voice-matched to the full Sony CS series (SS-CS3, SS-CS5, SS-CSEM2), the SS-CS8 integrates seamlessly into a complete Sony CS home theater system or works equally well as a standalone centre channel upgrade.

Yamaha NS-C90 Center Speaker – Dual-Angle Tilt, Made in Japan
The cabinet is asymmetrical on purpose: flip it over and it tilts the other way, aiming up at you from a low shelf or down at you from the top of a cabinet. Sealed rather than ported, so it needs no rear clearance. Two full-range drivers, nothing crossing in the vocal band. 6 ohms, 50 watts nominal. Built in Japan; very good condition.
