Manual Conversion: This unit now operates as a Manual Turntable (cue lever down to play, manual lift at end of side), eliminating the most common point of failure in these models for purist simplicity.
Dust Cover Restoration: The original dust cover has been polished to remove haze and scratches, and new hinge mounts have been retrofitted to replace the broken originals—a $50 upgrade that ensures the lid stays open and closes smoothly.
Stanton L720EE Cartridge: Fitted with a high-quality Stanton L720EE cartridge with D71EE elliptical stylus. The L720EE is the P-mount adaptation of the legendary Stanton 500 series—a broadcast-standard workhorse known for robust output, excellent tracking, and dynamic sound. This delivers punchy bass, clear midrange, and extended highs far beyond generic replacements.
Maintenance: A brand new belt has been installed, and the speed control potentiometers have been deep-cleaned for stable, accurate pitch.

Technics SL-220 Turntable – Made in Japan, Technics EPC-U25 Cartridge
Belt drive with a frequency-generator servo motor, a 304mm die-cast aluminium platter, and a static-balanced S-type arm with auto-return — 0.045% wow and flutter, six percent pitch either side of centre. The Technics EPC-U25 cartridge takes styli from conical up to Shibata, so there is a cheap path to more later. We sold this one, serviced it, and took it back in trade; condition Good.
