A complete NHT Evolution T5 tower system, made in the USA: a pair of M5 three-way monitors mated to a pair of B5 powered bass modules, driven by two NHT A1 250-watt monoblock amplifiers and managed by the NHT X1 active crossover. Assembled, this is a four-way, 550-watt-peak floorstanding system that goes down to 26Hz without a separate subwoofer.
Radique’s Take — Read This First
This is a sophisticated, highly configurable and genuinely capable system. It is not plug-and-play, and we would rather say so than have you find out at home. If you are an audiophile — or an aspiring one — who likes the idea of tuning a system to your specific room and application, this is a rare opportunity at this price. If you want speakers you connect and forget, look elsewhere in our catalogue and we will happily point you at something. Includes a soft copy of NHT’s thorough and well-written manual covering every component and configuration option.
What’s in the System
- 2 × M5 three-way monitors — 1″ aluminium dome tweeter, 3″ paper cone midrange, 5.25″ laminated cone woofer, acoustic suspension, magnetically shielded
- 2 × B5 bass modules (mirror-imaged) — side-firing 12″ aluminium cone woofer, acoustic suspension
- 2 × A1 monoblock amplifiers — 250W RMS into 6Ω, hybrid Class AB/Class G design, RCA and XLR inputs
- 1 × X1 active crossover — bass management with variable low-pass, selectable high-pass, and phase control
The M5 monitors mount to the B5 modules to form the completed T5 towers. The B5 woofers can be configured firing inward or outward to optimise bass for your room — one of several reasons this system rewards someone who enjoys setting things up properly.
Sound & Design
The T5 is consistently praised for accurate, neutral reproduction, excellent imaging, a wide soundstage and seamless integration between the monitors and the bass modules. Bass reaches a clean 26Hz, which removes the need for a separate subwoofer in most rooms. Standing 43″ tall and just 7.75″ wide, the towers carry an elegant, modern profile despite their 72 lb per channel of high-quality materials and construction.

Completing the System
A 72 lb tower with a side-firing 12″ woofer puts serious energy into your floor. IsoAcoustics GAIA II isolators are the right rating here — 120 lb per set of four against these towers’ 72 lb — and ship with M6-1.0, M8-1.25 and 1/4″-20 thread adaptors. On carpet, add GAIA Carpet Discs. We are an authorized IsoAcoustics dealer; ask us to confirm thread fit before you order.
A system with two monoblocks and an active crossover needs more cable than a conventional pair, and the runs are rarely standard lengths. Build exactly what you need with our Custom Speaker Cable Builder, made to order in our own shop and terminated in Radique gold-plated banana plugs.

Tannoy Profile 633 (D30) Towers — Black Ash, UK-Built, Bi-Wire
Definitive Technology BP-10 4-Driver Bipolar Towers — USA-Built
Each tower is two complete two-way systems, one facing forward and one facing directly backward, both radiating in phase. That is the whole point: where a dipole panel's front and rear bass partially cancel and the speaker has to come several feet into the room, these reinforce each other and the tower is happiest eight to twelve inches off the wall. Four drivers a side, bass to 20 Hz, built in Baltimore. Graded Good, and the grade is the high-gloss end caps — three decades of black lacquer carries scuffs and a few small chips.
Tannoy Mercury F3 Slim Floorstanding Speakers — Apple Finish
A two-way floorstander built on a deliberately simple recipe: one 6.5 inch bass and midrange driver covering everything below a 1 inch textile dome, crossed at 2.7 kHz by a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley — no midrange handover in the region the ear is most sensitive to, and drivers that sum flat and stay in phase through the crossing. 89 dB into a nominal 8 ohms, happy on anything from 10 to 100 watts, and eight inches wide. The light Apple finish hardly ever comes up. Very Good condition.
Totem Acoustic Sttaf Floorstanders — Maple, Made in Canada
Totem's slim, hand-built Montreal floorstander in the maple veneer the factory charged extra for — a single 5.5-inch driver and a textile dome in a narrow mono-shell cabinet that images far wider than its size and reaches 39 Hz. Happiest at civilised levels in a small to medium room. Fitted here with Radique Audio bi-wire bridges. Pair, ships from Kanata, ON.
Totem Claw Speaker Isolation Feet — Set of 6, Machined Aluminum
Totem's own decoupling feet — the same machined aluminium Claws the factory fits to the Forest and the Wind — as a complete set of six, enough for one pair of speakers at three per cabinet. They fix with the included self-tapping screws, so no threaded insert is needed, and work on hardwood, tile or concrete where spikes do not. Ball bearings included.
