Spades with a grip that holds
Solid brass, gold-plated, and held to the wire with two set screws, so the wire can’t back its way out. For binding posts where you want a flat, clamped contact.
The short answer
Radique Audio spade connectors are gold-plated solid brass speaker cable connectors that clamp under a binding post. Two set screws hold the wire, red and black anodized jackets mark polarity and won’t short if they touch, and each spade weighs 13.3 g. They take 12 to 18 AWG wire, fit posts up to 8 mm, measure 53 × 13 mm, and come in packs of 1, 2, 4 or 10 pairs.

How we pack your order
Cables and connectors ship in our high-quality Radique Audio bubble packs. If your order also includes speakers or other larger gear, everything is boxed up together in our 275 lb-test double-wall packaging, as in this video.
Questions we get about this one
Will they fit your binding posts?
They fit posts up to 8 mm. Some vintage gear has posts too small for a full-size spade; for those, the small spade (fork) ends on our House CCA pairs and the Cable Builder are sized for #10 (M5) posts.
Will they fit your speaker wire?
They take 12 to 18 AWG. 18 to 14 AWG goes in easily; 12 AWG is a tight fit and goes in with care. Much thicker audiophile cable won’t fit; ask us and we’ll suggest an option.
How do they go on?
Strip the wire, twist the strands so none stray, slide it into the connector and tighten the two set screws with a small flat-head screwdriver. That’s all it takes.
Spades or bananas?
Both make a solid connection. Spades clamp under the post for a flat contact and suit larger posts; bananas push in and pull out without tools, handy if you swap gear often.
What warranty does it have?
A 1-year warranty, like every Radique Audio product: if it fails under normal use within the year, we replace it at no charge. See our warranty FAQ.
What does shipping cost? Is pickup possible?
Pickup in Kanata is free, by appointment. To have it shipped, add it to your cart and enter your city and postal code on the cart page: you’ll see live carrier rates before you commit. We ship across Canada and internationally. Buying it with one of our pre-owned speakers or components? Then it rides along in the same order at no extra shipping cost.
Do you ship to the United States?
Yes. On Radique Audio products we add the US import duties and fees at checkout and prepay them for you, so there’s nothing to pay at delivery.
