Polk Audio RTi10 Floorstanding Tower Speakers – Black Ash Finish with Dynamic Balance Engineering
The Polk Audio RTi10 represents the pinnacle of Polk’s RTi series tower design, delivering high-impact performance and exceptional value through a sophisticated 4-driver configuration that rarely appears in speakers at this price point. The RTi10’s Dynamic Balance technology—Polk’s proprietary system using laser imaging to eliminate resonance-causing materials—creates a smooth, wide-open response with remarkably low distortion across the entire audio spectrum. Whether powering cinematic home theater with room-shaking bass or delivering nuanced musical detail across vinyl and digital sources, these towers combine visceral dynamics with refined engineering.
The 4-driver array represents the heart of the RTi10’s performance. A 1-inch silk/polymer dome tweeter redesigned for stellar treble extension delivers clear, detailed highs without harshness, paired with neodymium magnet heat sinks for superior thermal management and power handling. The 6.5-inch polymer composite midrange operates within its own tuned enclosure, isolated by Polk’s proprietary Acoustic Resonance Control (ARC) port technology to eliminate the “thick” character that internal cabinet resonances typically impart to vocals and instruments. The result is smooth, natural vocal reproduction and transparent instrument imaging. Dual 7-inch polymer composite woofers with butyl rubber surrounds provide the room-rumbling bass authority that defines true tower performance—tight, punchy, and deep bass that you can feel while remaining articulate enough for music.
The engineering sophistication extends to Polk’s Power Port Plus venting system, a carefully designed combination of front and rear ports working with internal plates to reduce air turbulence at the port openings (eliminating the annoying “chuffing” sound), while simultaneously increasing bass efficiency. This allows the RTi10 to extend bass response down to 35Hz with minimal turbulence noise, delivering low-frequency impact that modern movie soundtracks and music recordings demand. The all-MDF cabinet features extensive internal bracing that virtually eliminates sound-muddying resonances, while the asymmetrical cabinet design helps minimize diffraction artifacts and supports an expansive, three-dimensional soundstage.
The RTi10’s practical engineering includes dual 5-way gold-plated binding posts connected by gold-plated jumpers, enabling bi-wiring or bi-amping for enthusiasts seeking maximum performance. Video-shielding allows placement near television displays without picture distortion, while adjustable spike feet mounted on stabilizer bars provide stability on any flooring type—carpet or hardwood.

Monitor Audio Bronze 3 Towers — Shot-Loaded, Made in England
Energy Connoisseur C-8 Tower Speakers, High Gloss Black, Canada
The flagship of Energy’s Connoisseur range, built in Toronto by a company whose voicing grew out of the National Research Council’s listening work in Ottawa. Two 8-inch aluminium-polypropylene woofers and a cloth-suspended aluminium dome, crossed at 1,800 Hz and reaching 28 Hz — genuinely full-range, so most rooms will not want a subwoofer under them. At 93 dB it runs happily on 30 watts. High-gloss black, made in Canada, 57 lb each. Very Good condition. Pair — pickup in Kanata, or we deliver.

Definitive Technology BP-10 4-Driver Bipolar Towers — USA-Built
Each tower is two complete two-way systems, one facing forward and one facing directly backward, both radiating in phase. That is the whole point: where a dipole panel's front and rear bass partially cancel and the speaker has to come several feet into the room, these reinforce each other and the tower is happiest eight to twelve inches off the wall. Four drivers a side, bass to 20 Hz, built in Baltimore. Graded Good, and the grade is the high-gloss end caps — three decades of black lacquer carries scuffs and a few small chips.
Tannoy Mercury F3 Slim Floorstanding Speakers — Apple Finish
A two-way floorstander built on a deliberately simple recipe: one 6.5 inch bass and midrange driver covering everything below a 1 inch textile dome, crossed at 2.7 kHz by a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley — no midrange handover in the region the ear is most sensitive to, and drivers that sum flat and stay in phase through the crossing. 89 dB into a nominal 8 ohms, happy on anything from 10 to 100 watts, and eight inches wide. The light Apple finish hardly ever comes up. Very Good condition.
Totem Acoustic Sttaf Floorstanders — Maple, Made in Canada
Totem's slim, hand-built Montreal floorstander in the maple veneer the factory charged extra for — a single 5.5-inch driver and a textile dome in a narrow mono-shell cabinet that images far wider than its size and reaches 39 Hz. Happiest at civilised levels in a small to medium room. Fitted here with Radique Audio bi-wire bridges. Pair, ships from Kanata, ON.
Totem Claw Speaker Isolation Feet — Set of 6, Machined Aluminum
Totem's own decoupling feet — the same machined aluminium Claws the factory fits to the Forest and the Wind — as a complete set of six, enough for one pair of speakers at three per cabinet. They fix with the included self-tapping screws, so no threaded insert is needed, and work on hardwood, tile or concrete where spikes do not. Ball bearings included.
