Proudly crafted in Canada and thoroughly tested to ensure flawless, balanced performance, the C-6 was a flagship of Energy’s renowned Connoisseur lineup—offering breathtaking clarity, deep articulate bass, and a revealing, non-fatiguing treble.
Each C-6 tower incorporates dual 6.5″ aluminum/polypropylene woofers for powerful, room-filling bass and tight midrange, paired with a 1″ aluminum dome tweeter for sparkling, extended highs. The clever multi-chambered, heavily braced bass-reflex cabinet controls resonance and port noise, allowing the C-6 to produce true full-range sound down to 37Hz—easily rivaling much larger or more expensive designs.
With a crossover at 1.8kHz, sensitivity rated at 90dB, and an 8-ohm impedance, these speakers deliver exceptional dynamics and realism with nearly any integrated amp, receiver, or separates. Each tower is two complete two-way systems, one facing forward and one facing directly backward, both radiating in phase. That is the whole point: where a dipole panel's front and rear bass partially cancel and the speaker has to come several feet into the room, these reinforce each other and the tower is happiest eight to twelve inches off the wall. Four drivers a side, bass to 20 Hz, built in Baltimore. Graded Good, and the grade is the high-gloss end caps — three decades of black lacquer carries scuffs and a few small chips.

A two-way floorstander built on a deliberately simple recipe: one 6.5 inch bass and midrange driver covering everything below a 1 inch textile dome, crossed at 2.7 kHz by a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley — no midrange handover in the region the ear is most sensitive to, and drivers that sum flat and stay in phase through the crossing. 89 dB into a nominal 8 ohms, happy on anything from 10 to 100 watts, and eight inches wide. The light Apple finish hardly ever comes up. Very Good condition.

Totem's slim, hand-built Montreal floorstander in the maple veneer the factory charged extra for — a single 5.5-inch driver and a textile dome in a narrow mono-shell cabinet that images far wider than its size and reaches 39 Hz. Totem's own decoupling feet — the same machined aluminium Claws the factory fits to the Forest and the Wind — as a complete set of six, enough for one pair of speakers at three per cabinet. They fix with the included self-tapping screws, so no threaded insert is needed, and work on hardwood, tile or concrete where spikes do not. Ball bearings included.

The flagship of Energy’s Connoisseur range, built in Toronto by a company whose voicing grew out of the National Research Council’s listening work in Ottawa. Two 8-inch aluminium-polypropylene woofers and a cloth-suspended aluminium dome, crossed at 1,800 Hz and reaching 28 Hz — genuinely full-range, so most rooms will not want a subwoofer under them. At 93 dB it runs happily on 30 watts. High-gloss black, made in Canada, 57 lb each. Very Good condition. Pair — pickup in Kanata, or we deliver.
