A well-made pair of 14 gauge speaker cables, terminated at both ends and ready to use, in excellent condition.
What These Are, Plainly
Let us be straightforward about what these are: good quality budget cables. They are not audiophile exotica and Micca has never pretended otherwise. What they are is properly specified and properly built, which is more than can be said for most cable sold at this price.
The Conductors
Each conductor carries 245 pure copper strands. That matters for two reasons — pure copper has meaningfully lower resistance than the copper-clad aluminium used in most budget cable, and a high strand count keeps the cable supple, so it routes behind furniture and around corners without fighting you.
The Banana Plugs
Both ends are terminated with gold-plated 4 mm banana plugs. They are all-metal with a solid core and nine contoured contact springs, so they grip properly instead of going slack, and at a standard 15 mm they seat correctly in both deep and shallow binding posts. There is no exposed metal on the connector body, which removes the most common way people short an amplifier while feeling around behind a rack.
Soldered, Not Crimped
The joints are soldered and heat-shrunk rather than crimped. At this price that is unusual, and the joint is what fails first on cheaper cables.
The Jacket
The jacket is slim and low profile, which is the practical difference between a cable you can run under a rug or along a baseboard and one you cannot.
Condition
These have been used but are in excellent condition, with no damage to the jackets and clean, straight plugs on all four ends. Each cable is 6 feet, and they are supplied as a pair — one for each speaker. Fitted with a Radique Audio cable tie.
Who These Are For
