Bowers & Wilkins DM2000 Floorstanding Speakers – Walnut Finish
$795.00
Built in England between 1983 and 1986, and it handles its bass the unusual way — a 6.5-inch mid-bass driver working against a matching 6.5-inch passive radiator rather than a port, so the low end stays controlled with none of the chuffing a port can add. The 1-inch dome is electronically time-delayed to hold phase through a fourth-order Butterworth crossover. Walnut veneer, 87 dB into 8 ohms, 55 lb each. Very Good condition. Pair — pickup in Kanata, or we deliver.

Bowers & Wilkins DM2000 Floorstanding Speakers – Walnut Finish, Made in England. Very Good Condition, Fully Tested
Design and Build
Presenting a beautifully crafted pair of Bowers & Wilkins DM2000 floorstanding speakers in walnut veneer—thoroughly tested and delivering impeccable sound with a very good cosmetic condition. These classic British speakers, manufactured between 1983 and 1986, remain prized for their combination of advanced acoustic engineering and refined aesthetics.
Detailed Features:
Drivers: A 160mm (6.5”) mid-bass driver combined with a matching 160mm passive radiator provides powerful, well-controlled low frequencies with minimal distortion.
Tweeter: A 26mm (1”) dome tweeter offers clear and precise high-frequency response, enhanced by electronic time delay for impeccable phase accuracy and a seamless soundstage.
Crossover: A fourth-order Butterworth crossover with steep 24dB/octave slopes ensures excellent driver integration and minimization of frequency overlap.
Cabinet: Finished in rich walnut veneer, the cabinets are rigid and well-braced to reduce resonance and colorations, contributing to the speakers’ exceptionally natural timbre and detail.
Terminals: Equipped with 5-way binding posts suitable for banana plugs and custom wiring solutions, providing secure, high-quality connections.
Dimensions & Weight: Measuring 82.0 cm high, 31.0 cm wide, and 40.0 cm deep (32.3″ × 12.2″ × 15.8″), each speaker weighs 25 kg (55 lbs), reflecting solid construction.
Performance:
The DM2000 delivers a frequency response of 50Hz to 20kHz ±2dB and a sensitivity of 87dB, producing clear, dynamic sound with wide imaging and depth. Its efficient 8-ohm nominal impedance makes it compatible with most amplifiers rated at 50 watts or more, accommodating both vintage and modern systems.
This pair is an ideal opportunity for audiophiles seeking quintessential British sound with a timeless walnut finish that complements both audio and décor.
Summary:
An exceptional floorstanding speaker system revered for its clarity, precision, and rich tonal balance, offered here in walnut finish with thorough testing and very good condition. Equipped with versatile 5-way binding posts for premium connectivity, the B&W DM2000 continues to stand as a highly desirable vintage classic.

Totem Acoustic Sttaf Floorstanders — Maple, Made in Canada
Totem's slim, hand-built Montreal floorstander in the maple veneer the factory charged extra for — a single 5.5-inch driver and a textile dome in a narrow mono-shell cabinet that images far wider than its size and reaches 39 Hz. Happiest at civilised levels in a small to medium room. Fitted here with Radique Audio bi-wire bridges. Pair, ships from Kanata, ON.
Totem Claw Speaker Isolation Feet — Set of 6, Machined Aluminum
Totem's own decoupling feet — the same machined aluminium Claws the factory fits to the Forest and the Wind — as a complete set of six, enough for one pair of speakers at three per cabinet. They fix with the included self-tapping screws, so no threaded insert is needed, and work on hardwood, tile or concrete where spikes do not. Ball bearings included.
Paradigm Monitor 11 v3 Floorstanding Speakers – 5-Driver Towers
Energy Connoisseur C-8 Tower Speakers, High Gloss Black, Canada
The flagship of Energy’s Connoisseur range, built in Toronto by a company whose voicing grew out of the National Research Council’s listening work in Ottawa. Two 8-inch aluminium-polypropylene woofers and a cloth-suspended aluminium dome, crossed at 1,800 Hz and reaching 28 Hz — genuinely full-range, so most rooms will not want a subwoofer under them. At 93 dB it runs happily on 30 watts. High-gloss black, made in Canada, 57 lb each. Very Good condition. Pair — pickup in Kanata, or we deliver.

Definitive Technology BP-10 4-Driver Bipolar Towers — USA-Built
Each tower is two complete two-way systems, one facing forward and one facing directly backward, both radiating in phase. That is the whole point: where a dipole panel's front and rear bass partially cancel and the speaker has to come several feet into the room, these reinforce each other and the tower is happiest eight to twelve inches off the wall. Four drivers a side, bass to 20 Hz, built in Baltimore. Graded Good, and the grade is the high-gloss end caps — three decades of black lacquer carries scuffs and a few small chips.
Tannoy Mercury F3 Slim Floorstanding Speakers — Apple Finish
A two-way floorstander built on a deliberately simple recipe: one 6.5 inch bass and midrange driver covering everything below a 1 inch textile dome, crossed at 2.7 kHz by a fourth-order Linkwitz-Riley — no midrange handover in the region the ear is most sensitive to, and drivers that sum flat and stay in phase through the crossing. 89 dB into a nominal 8 ohms, happy on anything from 10 to 100 watts, and eight inches wide. The light Apple finish hardly ever comes up. Very Good condition.
