Description

Marantz 2230 Vintage Receiver – Serviced, 30 WPC, Made in Japan

Introduced in 1971 and built through the mid-1970s, the Marantz 2230 is one of the most beloved members of the legendary 22XX series. Made in Japan, it pairs the iconic brushed-aluminum faceplate, blue dial illumination, and gyro-touch tuning with a conservatively rated 30 watts-per-channel amplifier that consistently punches above its spec sheet. The sound is unmistakably Marantz — warm, musical, full-bodied, and especially flattering to vinyl through its highly regarded moving-magnet phono stage. This example has completed our Level One service protocol and is ready for many more years of musical service.

Pair the 2230 with a modern source via the Radique RA-Twin II Bluetooth streamer and you get the best of both worlds: stream Spotify, Apple Music, or Tidal wirelessly from your phone into a 50-year-old audiophile-grade receiver with no compromise to the vintage signal chain.

Why Choose Radique?

Every vintage receiver leaving our Ottawa workshop is restored with the same standard we’d apply to gear staying in our own listening rooms. We test, service, and document each unit, then pack it in 275 lb-test double-wall cartons engineered to survive courier handling — see our unboxing video for what to expect at the door. Buying restored vintage is the most sustainable path in hi-fi: keeping a 50-year-old machine in service beats sending it to landfill and chasing the next disposable receiver.

⚡ Voltage Information

This unit is configured for 110/120V North American mains. For use outside North America, a quality step-down transformer rated for at least 200W is required.
