Yamaha CDC-902 5-Disc CD Changer – Original Remote, Plays CD-R
$175.00
Near the top of Yamaha’s Natural Sound carousel range, and the numbers say so — 106dB signal to noise, 96dB dynamic range, 0.003% distortion. The line output is variable from the remote, so it can drive a power amp directly in a simple system. It reads CD-Rs, which Yamaha never claimed for this generation; we verified that here. Original remote. Cosmetically graded Good.

What our bench covers →Yamaha CDC-902 — Natural Sound Five-Disc Changer with Original Remote
A quality 5-disc carousel CD changer from Yamaha’s Natural Sound line, combining genuinely strong playback specifications with the everyday convenience of extended, uninterrupted listening.
Where It Sits in the Range
The CDC-902 sits toward the top of Yamaha’s carousel changer range, and its numbers show it: a 106 dB signal-to-noise ratio, 96 dB of dynamic range, and total harmonic distortion of just 0.003% — measurements that hold their own against dedicated single-disc players. A variable line output, adjustable directly from the remote, lets you match the changer’s level to your amplifier or even drive a power amp directly in a simple system. In our testing, this unit also reads CD-R discs reliably — a capability Yamaha never officially claimed for this generation, making it a pleasant bonus for anyone with a library of home-burned discs.
Features
Practical features run deep: automatic peak level search and CD-synchronized recording (with compatible Yamaha tape decks) for taping enthusiasts, automatic tape-length programming, disc scanning for quick browsing across all five discs, random and repeat play, direct track access from the remote’s numeric keypad, a three-level display dimmer, and 3-inch CD compatibility. The original Yamaha remote control is included.
Condition and Service
This unit has been thoroughly inspected and tested to confirm full functionality.
Condition
Cosmetically graded Good, this unit shows honest signs of regular use consistent with its age, and presents respectably in a rack or on a shelf.
Strong specifications, deep features, and five discs of uninterrupted music — a well-built Yamaha changer ready for years of easy listening.
