Your phone to your stereo, without the hum

A shielded 3.5 mm to dual RCA cable for connecting a phone, laptop or Bluetooth receiver to any stereo, receiver or powered speaker with RCA inputs. It’s the cable we pair with the RA-Twin II.

The short answer

The Radique Audio Gold Series 3.5 mm to dual RCA cable runs from a 3.5 mm (1/8 in) TRS stereo plug to two RCA plugs, red and white, over 1.2 m (about 4 ft). Inside are 262 tinned copper strands under braided copper and foil shielding, with an integrated degaussing ring and a reinforced splitter; outside, gold-plated plugs, PE insulation and a 7 mm gold cotton mesh jacket. It is heavily shielded on purpose: it keeps hum, hiss and radio pickup out of the signal.

Gold and Black Series at a glance

Gold Series is our shielded line: six layers of construction around tinned copper, a gold cotton mesh jacket and gold-plated plugs. Black Series is the entry line: well made, and priced to replace the cable that came in the box.

Cable	Connects	Length	Build
Gold Series 3.5 mm to dual RCA (this one)	Phone, laptop or Bluetooth receiver to an RCA input	1.2 m	Braided + foil shield, degaussing ring
Black Series 3.5 mm to dual RCA	The same job, at an entry price	1.8 m	Braided mesh over a flexible jacket
Gold Series 1/4 to 1/8 in TRS	A 1/4 in (6.35 mm) jack to a 3.5 mm jack, stereo	1 m	Braided + foil shield, dual degaussing rings
Gold Series RCA interconnect	Component to component, stereo	0.2, 0.75 or 1.5 m	Braided + foil shield, slim vintage-safe plugs
Gold Series single RCA	Digital coax, or a preamp to a power amp	0.2 m (8 in)	Braided + foil shield, slim plugs
Gold Series subwoofer cable	Sub or LFE output to a subwoofer	2, 3, 5 or 10 m	Braided + foil shield, dual degaussing rings
Gold Series subwoofer Y-splitter	One sub cable to a dual-RCA input or output	0.2 m (8 in)	Reinforced 3-element splitter
Black Series optical (Toslink)	TV, console or player to a soundbar, receiver or DAC	1 or 2 m	Moulded strain relief, braided mesh

What makes it better

Gentle-fit gold plugs

Corrosion-resistant gold-plated plugs that fit securely, never too tight or too loose, so they don’t wear vintage or modern jacks.

Shielded against noise

Braided copper and foil shielding, plus an integrated degaussing ring against magnetic interference.

A cure for RA-Twin II buzz

Left in RX mode on an amp that stays on, an RA-Twin II switches itself off and a thin cable can pick up interference. This cable’s heavier shielding eliminates it.

A reinforced splitter

The point where the cable splits to two RCAs is reinforced, because that’s where cheap cables fail.

Flexible, and good to handle

The gold cotton mesh is more flexible than nylon or PVC, so it routes behind a rack without kinks or stiffness.

Direct, no adapter

Full stereo from a headphone or AUX jack straight into an RCA input: receivers, amps, powered speakers, mixers.

Questions we get about this one

Using it with an RA-Twin II?

It’s the upgrade we recommend. If an RA-Twin II is left in RX mode on an amplifier that stays on, it turns itself off after a while and the connecting cable can act as an antenna, so you hear distortion. Turn the amp off or switch sources when you’re done, or use this cable: its heavier shielding eliminates the problem. See the RA-Twin II.

Gold Series or Black Series?

The Black Series cable is a good everyday cable at an entry price, 1.8 m long. Gold Series adds heavy shielding, a degaussing ring and a reinforced splitter: worth it with Bluetooth receivers, long runs or noisy rooms.

Which way round does it go?

The 3.5 mm plug goes into the source’s headphone or AUX output; the red RCA goes to the right input, white to the left.

What warranty does it have?

A 1-year warranty, like every Radique Audio product: if it fails under normal use within the year, we replace it at no charge. See our warranty FAQ.

What does shipping cost? Is pickup possible?

Pickup in Kanata is free, by appointment. To have it shipped, add it to your cart and enter your city and postal code on the cart page: you’ll see live carrier rates before you commit. We ship across Canada and internationally. Buying it with one of our pre-owned speakers or components? Then it rides along in the same order at no extra shipping cost.

Do you ship to the United States?

Yes. On Radique Audio products we add the US import duties and fees at checkout and prepay them for you, so there’s nothing to pay at delivery.
